Something probably went bad over at Steve, likely software problem. OS level or otherwise.
The Ivans do pretty intense gametesting over at GameGPU and they had different results:

Maybe NVIDIA got some GimpWorks into the early alpha and only runs on their cards? :meh:
Or alternatively it is starting to show that we are actually on the 3rd iteration of Maxwell without much architectural changes...
A couple more Spectre patches and the 6700K will be the equivalent part. :D
On a more serious note, due to how Frostbite engine works an FX6300/6350 was a bit faster compared to the regular i5-6600 at stock clocks. Given that the 6600K does not come with Kaby Lake like very high base...
This is pretty disappointing from a brand like EVGA that pretty much was built up on quality... sad times indeed.
After early reviews I thought we had a little gem in the budget segment. I have even recommended the 450 és 550W units to quite a few of my fellow countrymen.
Oh well... putting...
^^ Pretty much this. ^^
I think today you are just fine with a Snapdragon 435 or 625 phone with like 2-4GB of RAM, they cost about what? 150-300 bucks from lower to higher-end spectrum of the "cheap phone" range? More then enough for you average needs of scrolling trough your FB feed on the...
Had Z
Similar story here. I had the Z1 Compact. Battery declined really fast and got so fat in started to separate the back that is otherwise glued on. Thankfully local law here has built-in non user replaceable batteries under the same warranty as the phone so they had to fix it. The...
Storm in a teacup really...
Vega 64 non-bundle was at MSRP of 449GBP before it ran out of stock at OCUK. Lowest price of RX Vega 64, highest demand inevitable.
Vega 64 Black Pack was at MSRP of 549GBP, then they raised prices of pre-orders on non-bundle cards to the samel level as the BP...
Although not MCM strictly speaking, but AMD was a bit ahead of the curve for no reason as per usual. Shared memory design from R600. Ring-Bus memory for the lulz from a decade ago:
Yeah, that baby diarrhea color is a huge turn off sadly. :(
Although non issue if your case comes with a solid side panel, but people whom would be willing to pay the extra for some decent case fans usually tend to have cases with see-through sides... Also since 98% of the PC market operates...
I was going to make a comment about how their old logo already looked like a toilet swirl from a top-down view, but you already beat me to the punch line.
Thank you kind Sir for them epic LOLs.
1. Thats right 24. Exactly 8 more compared to the 16 you would get with an i7-7740X + X299 combo.
2. 14nm Coffee Lake unless Intel goes to another LGA115x socket cause "reasons". But if that happens go and buy a i7-7800X + X299 combo that hopefully will be at a lower MSRP in 3 years time or used...
Currently it makes no sense what so ever to buy a 4C part with an X299 board. Like literally none, since in this instance you are not saving any money on RAM cause would have to invest into DDR4 anyway.
Why would you buy a brand new 300USD+ motherboard, buy at bare minimum a 16GB QC DDR4-3200...
I don't really get how the FE cards made a dent in the AIB partners profits. They are priced high for what they are and I think 95% of people buying them FE cards are those who are going all in with custom water loops and what not.
It is probably my problem but I can't really imagine someone...
If you are doing heavy video editing / rendering that is CPU intensive it might be worth upgrading from Sandy / Ivy to Skylake Kaby Lake. From a gaming point tho... not so much.
Problem is that if it doesn't really contribute to the overlook it isn't worth overdoing. I remember way back when Morrowing came out it made me go out and buy a new PC. Bought a shiny new rig whit a spanking new GeForce 4 Ti4200 128MB card, thinking "That ought to do it". Cranks up graphics...
Well... the thing is... when a game in 2016 sorta-kinda has roughly the same visual fidelity as Bioshock Infinite from 2013, but you need a GTX 1080 for 1440p to run it at the highest settings smoothly then I would dare call it unoptimized.
^ Pretty much this ^
This "telemetry" thing should be opt-in, or at bare minimum opt-out if someone is on the tinfoil hat side of things.
On a side note: nVIDIA gathering info of my system specs and installed games is pretty much meh category after being in circulation for year on the...
I found both GTX 1050s lackluster tbh, I expected more before the specs got leaked. Granted they are consuming a less power compared to last years offerings from nVIDIA at this segment, but this performance level was available for quite some time now at almost the same price. I kind of expected...
Well... it's a digital PWM controller, supposedly that is in charge of the power delivery on the card. You don't have a lot of current going trough that particular part.
If they can modify / patch the how this little f*cker in the picture bellow distributes power with a firmware / BIOS update it's all good. If not, well... sh!te.
Well... UK prices aren't really that high tbh. 449 USD MSRP + 20% UK VAT + about 10% Shipping and Customs and what not = 593USD = 404GBP
Cheapest one I could find here in puny Hungary is around 165.000HUF so about 403GBP, mind you that is not even in stock. Cheapest in stock is a Gigabyte FE...
Yeah Bethesda event was... insteresting. We had some fellow Hungarian Youtubers in the audience and they said were seated next to one these payed "screamers", a girl who went "Weeeee!!!! Woooo!!!!" through the entire event oh the joy that must have been...
Well... that didn't make front page news on the [H] or on Kotaku now did it? :\
I didn't find said JHH bit on the keynote "funny" or "WTF" since there is no better way to show a new product in all its physical glory on stage. So how does a short product announcement / brief of 40 seconds (since...
Lisa Su holding up two new products for about 40 seconds with a brief introduction of what segment these products are coming is a WTF moment now. Intriguing...
What would you call JHH holding up a GTX 1080 for about 3 minutes straight in the same stance and then waving it around for another 2?
R9 380 and up they all got bumped core clocks, faster memory and/or double the VRAM compared to the prevoius series with more aggressive pricing. R9 370 below... well... I feel you, not much happened there in terms of performance and what not. AMD probably thought nVIDIA will do lower end 900...
