Only used this for about a month. Didn't have to upgrade, but got a good deal on a 760 at MC. This is the plain brown box Nvidia... this one: http://www.microcenter.com/product/415749/GeForce_GTX_660_Ti_2048MB_GDDR5_PCIe_30_x16_Video_Card_%28Refurbished%29?ob=1

Just wanted to say I'm running this same board with an i5-4590 and have tried 4 video cards in it and it is spectacular. I had to update to the latest BIOS.. something with the Haswell refresh CPUs because I tried 2 new Haswells (G3250 and the 4590) and it was unstable... After the new BIOS...
I think all 750 Ti's (at least non-reference) have a 6 pin power port (I have the EVGA ACS 2GB 750ti FTW but have looked at a lot of them). The regular GTX 750 has no external power needed. Some Ti's may not have it, but they will probably be at or below stock clocks.
I got a desk and am no longer confined to the kitchen table.. So I'm back using a modest desktop now and need to sell my Lenovo Y580 (which has been wonderful for everything I've thrown at it in the past few months). It's in great condition in both appearance and function. I re-applied...
I might add to this in the next few days...

I just got an ASUS Q550LF for ridiculously cheap ($300 at a local pawn shop and it looks brand new), been using it in place of my Lenovo Y510P for a few days. I had to turn down a few of the bells and whistles to increase framerates, but I really love the design, look, and feel of the ASUS...
I'm pretty irritated with the whole "Shield" thing. I didn't want a freakin' low-res phone without a phone glued to a controller so I bought an EVGA Tegra Note, which I mostly like, but the digitizer is not as responsive as I would like. I am fuming mad they are not doing gamestream for the...
Before I decided on a GTX 660 for my old PC I test drove a 7870 and the 660 seemed to edge it out a bit. The 270 seems to slightly best the 660 now. I'm guessing because of the faster memory compared to the 7870. When OC'ed to 1050MHz the 270 was noticeably faster than the 660 (also the 660...
So.. I bought a Gigabyte R9 270 (non-X) as an "Open Box" at Micro Center for a PC I built for my step daughter. I originally had an old GTX 260 but it was weak, noisy and hot. I must admit when I first took the Gigabyte R9 270 out of the box I was a bit worried because the fans and plastic cowl...
Remember.. unless it is factory overclocked there is no guarantee as to how much you can OC yours by. The same gamble goes with unlocking cores on AMD cpus. It is great when you can OC, but just because one person got a 150Mhz OC does not mean you will. That being said, I'm no expert on the...
Pics of G72 added. A few things I forgot... There is one flap door missing on the right side, left is there. Also, I just got a bag of misc screws/stuff from ebay and have all the screw covers for the screen screws which I will put on before shipping. All screws are there and everything...

I'm currently playing Rift, and I think it looks better than AION. AION always had the look of a free mmo, even when I was paying a monthly fee. I still enjoyed it for about a year. I like Rift better. One thing that really stood out in Rift.. I was just "exploring the world" and climbing...
The only games that are better on consoles to me are multiplayer games where the 2nd player is sitting next to you, like video board games, or Wii bowling. PC is better for everything else.
Go back farther, when Mattel and Coleco attempted to bring down the Atari 2600. I had all 3, and while I loved my ColecoVision, there was just something "perfect" about the 2600. Sure the graphics were miserable, and the sound was even worse, but it was fun. Coleco had that "mushroom"...
AMD FX-8320 and ASUS M5A97... Everything works, I never overvolted the FX, I ran it comfortably at stock speed for an 8350. I was using an OCZ tower cooler with an Arctic fan attached. I can include this, as it actually kept the FX at pretty decent temps. I don't have the stock cooler for...
I like zone based like EQ.. Especially for EQ where MOBs do not lose agro... I can't count the number of times I clicked my Journeyman Boots and bolted for the zone when soloing. As far as a new zone MMO.. I don't see any reason that would factor into my liking it.
Been playing MMOs since EQ...
I always assumed the Quadro was around (same thing for Fire GL on AMD) just so they could sell their cards expensively to corporate customers. Try explaining to a person in Corporate Purchase Approvals why you need a $300 gaming card for work.. it's not worth justifying a gaming card when you...
