For someone using the GT430 version of this board, how loud is the fan on the GPU? I'm planning on going water with this board and was hoping that it will be quiet enough, or have a possible waterblock or aftermarket heatsink available.
I would be most concerned about the fps in large engagements. Hopefully someone has tried to run this game at this resolution with sandy bridge.
Also, is the 430 that big of an improvement over sandy bridge onboard? I was under the impression that it was about the same as entry level offerings.
Hey guys,
I'm considering building a nice little mITX rig for portability. I'm sick of lugging my P182 back and forth to university. I've been eying up the SG05 for quite some time now and have had elaborate ideas come and go. The most realistic setup I would use at this point would be a Z68...
Hey there. Just curious as to why you chose an H67 motherboard with a K-series processor. If you are going to overclock, you will need a P67/Z68 chipset. If you don't want to overclock there is no need to buy the unlocked K versions of processors. Hope that helps.
I had a Razer Diamondback for the longest time until it started breaking down [still keep it with my netbook]. I got a G5 when this happened, and I can't see myself using the Razer again. The low profile-ness was kind of cool, but didn't really help and wasn't ergonomic at all. I'll be using my...
I wouldn't want this personally because then it would be a pain to ever open the case, It would be hard to make it look nice (lots of cutting compared to drilling a few holes), and I MIGHT be putting my own window on the side anyway lol.
Can't wait to see results. I don't see how drilling new holes ~10mm away or something would be too challenging, meaning a normal rad will fit in the back.
For a while now I've been wanting to do a brand new build, and I was almost certain that I would use the Lian Li V354 once I heard about it (and saw it), but I'd like other peoples opinions on the matter. It will be housing a mATX mobo, i7 with a decent OC, 5870, and other essential components...
For someone who has the case, can they measure the space between the front fans and the side panel? It looks like it would be wide enough to stick a res in.
Yeah I guess I could just remove the drive bays altogether, but I did kind of want at least a slim DVD drive. Oh well, now that I think of it I really don't use them enough anyway.
They make a full cover block for the mobo. For the GPU(s), you would need blocks for them too. But don't expect to have an internal loop with all of that.
Just thought of something. Can someone measure the distance between add in cards (preferably a GPU) and the PSU? I hope theres enough space for a GPU waterblock there.
might have to do a little bit of cutting on the hdd or cd bay, but i'll fit it right in the front somehow. that along with the part bradmax mentioned should workout fine.
I'm thinking of a similar design, except for now I'm just going to be putting a 240 rad in the front. Maybe later on I'll add a GPU to the loop and mount some sort of rad on the top [wonders if a 240 will fit up there with some modding].
I love this thing. I ordered it around July and received it in August I believe. So far it's been amazing for color representation compared to my old TN panel at least. It brings back the enjoyable feeling that a CRT brings, lol. I don't have any noticable color cast or anything on it. Once it's...
no way a single rad would work well. you'd need at least twice the surface area of that i'd say for either the gpu or cpu alone. you "could" do it, but read up about other peoples setups and you'll get the idea of what to expect. it would basically be a waste of money to do that since it would...
Is anyone else excited about this thing possibly coming to fruition? It would totally be my next phone if its GSM. Not much is known about it yet. Over at engadget they have a few pictures up. Sorry if it's been posted already didn't see it...
This is exactly what I was thinking, I would really like to try it out (need to get some money together first for a new system, it's about that time.) I was thinking of putting a 120.2 in the front in a push configuration and maybe drill holes to mount another 120.2 on the ceiling if possible...
