I haven't tried an antec case yet but would love do a new build in one of their cases to see how they compare. As for their PSU's, I've owned a couple of the earthwatts units and generally found them to be a decent value and reliable.
I love Corsair because of their quality, price, and service. Their attention to detail is superb.
FWIW - I think the 500 and the 600 are the best mid range cases on the market. It's hard to believe how much quality and value they squeeze into those price points.
Are the 400's available for sale in the US? I keep checking on Amazon and New Egg but neither one has them available yet. Amazon lists the 400, but it is shown as "out of stock" which makes me think they aren't going to hit the retail chain for a little bit.
I picked up an H50 a few weeks ago...
My last four builds have been AMD with my current system being an Phonom2 945. What I really appreciate about AMD is the value of their products, the lifespan and ability to upgrade their platforms, and of course....ATI.
I hope they announce this by he time the Lynx boards start showing up as I would seriously consider grabbing a Micro ATX or Mni ITX board and throwing an A8 in there. I may go ahead and get one for a sff or HTPC build regardless but I would feel a lot better about it if I knew that a year from...
I like that MSI uses quality components and good design which allows good temps and for us to push their hardware just a little bit harder than the competition without having to worry about it releasing the "magic smoke." ;)
Same here.
I'll either go with a BD or SB processor and decent discrete card when I upgrade my main box but Llano actually looks to have enough gpu power to be usable at 1080. Hopefully Llano should be able to handle all of my htpc needs and some very light gaming needs (think a MMO or two...
MMMM.....sooooo tasty. Must not drool on the monitor. ;)
In all seriousness though, what's not to love about a XFX 6990. Let's see, it's only the fastest video card on the planet made by the manufacturer with the best reputation (can we all say "Double lifetime warranty!!!!!!").
I finally picked up Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition yesterday. If Civ 5 drops under $25, I'll probably pick it up also but that's it for me this year.
