1080p - 1200 DPI, anything over 2500+ on the same resolution is really only useful for gaming. I drop the DPI down a lot (400-600) when using Photoshop or something. faster than changing Window's sensitivity!
whoops! thanks, Raja.
i'm using CT16G4RFD4213 for memory, no mixed kits. it worked before as well on the last board i had before i RMA'd it.
i have only been testing with 1 cpu (E5-2620v3) and 1 stick of memory for the sake of keeping things simple. using a spare 660gtx for now for vga. (i've...
got a new motherboard from asus yesterday, got it all hooked up today and now i'm stuck on another code. i've updated the bios with the cpu removed and checked all my connections. the led display sticks at code 67 and i can't get past it.
i was able to get a q-code dump if it helps at all, i've...
thanks for your reply. i have indeed updated the bios to the latest 702, i forgot to mention in original post.
which jumpers? i have not changed any. i checked jumpers before, but i did not see anything that would cause a problem unless you know of one in particular on this board.
i will...
i've tried watching for it, but when it power cycles it changes very quickly.
while booting, it sits at 04 for a few seconds, then 19, i can see it flash into something in the 20s then it shuts off and starts back up, repeating the previous action
edit 1/21: i've also run prime95 and memtest...
recently picked up a Z10PE-D8 motherboard, got it setup in my case and everything installed.
got windows installed, all the drivers, everything is running great. finishing up some utility installations, decide to reboot once more before bed. doesn't come back up. memory was good, passed all...
in regards to 'repairing the SR', you're looking for the 'xe pbd-plug` command. as far as shutdown goes, this can be done with rc.d.
edit:: also, i believe you can prioritize vm startup using vApp tags or start sequence in boot options in the VM properties menu in XenCenter.
yes sir it is a good deal and M4s have been some of the most reliable SSDs on the market. i just bought a bunch of 830s, but I have used several M4s in the past. whichever you decide to go with you will not be disappointed.
ordered 2 on Wednesday morning at 8:19 AM CST. a hold for the amount was placed on my paypal, but not charged to my bank. still at Order Verification. order says shipping from CA.
asked live chat about the order, they said its unlikely it will ship today. guess ordering early doesn't always...
honestly bf3 doesn't benefit as much as you think from SSDs. the majority of the time spent loading the level is actually stuff being streamed down from the server. having it on an SSD will speed it up, but there is a limit to how much it will help due to how the game is just designed.
ordered two at 8:19am. it's now just shy of 6pm and i'm still on "Order Verification" :\ was hoping to have these tomorrow since i live within next day ship range of memphis.
had a $10 gift code to newegg for a while now, picked up the samsung for $109. was going to get another M4, but figured i'll give samsung a try this time.
samsung's 830s have had a pretty good track record in terms of reliability, figured i'd give them a shot this time since the price was right.
check to see if your motherboard has an on board raid controller. a lot do these days. you can usually check by reading the manual or checking in the bios. or you could always do it from within windows i suppose.
after wondering the same thing for a while, just saw this thread - glad to see someone else was thinking the same!
i did this;
and also ran the "dism" command i found here http://forums.techarena.in/operating-systems/1323437.htm
i went from 29.1GB free to 36.1GB free after all that...
as long as the board sees the cards (i dont see any reason why it wouldn't) then nope. i'm using 2 of them on a supermicro board and about to add a third.
first thing i did was rip out the 3x80mm fans and drop in some panaflos. shame you have to get rid of it, it's not a bad case :p only problem for me so far is i need to dremel out a slot in the airduct for my power cables since they come in at an awkward angle (SSI CEB board). but that will only...
mine just arrived today! unboxed and sitting on my table next to the chenbro nightmare now, will transplant the organs later. thanks for the suggestion.
if you can find anybody who has an AccessData workstation, they might be able to help you out.. as far as blind recoveries go you could always use photorec or something. it's just going to be really messy if you go that route
+1 to M4.. i have 3 of them, all from different batches updated to 0009 firmware. not a single issue so far. crucial has also been improving performance by quite a bit in their latest firmware revisions (0002 -> 0009 boosting by 20%~ i believe), could it get even better? time will tell..
yeah, trying to save money is just going to wind up costing me money now. on that note - is there any supermicro case with at least 4 3.5" hotswap bays i can drop a CEB board into? :P
so i picked up an RM12404 chassis from chenbro a little while back and it came with a port to port sata backplane. in a 1U chassis this is kind of a cabling nightmare. i emailed chenbro and they jerked me around for over a month to finally tell me they no longer manuf. the mini-sas backplane. on...
i've already looked at the possibilty of running a cable, unfortunately the way the house is built it would be pretty damn difficult. :( what is the throughput of powerline networking these days? and any suggested equipment? the idea has popped into my mind, but i know nothing about it.
okay, here is my problem. my cable feed + modem is downstairs, i live upstairs in my house. i had a router downstairs and was doing a plain old 802.11g bridge into a switch upstairs. i was using ubiquiti hardware for that, and it was pretty reliable (mostly). i eventually upgraded everything...
ocz is apparently making a 1.1TB hybrid harddrive. what do y'all think? with ocz's current track record i can't say i will be first in line.
last i checked a 100ft cat6 cable was only like $2-3 more expensive than a cat5e cable. a 1000ft spool of cat6 is only $110 at monoprice. 1000ft spool of cat5e is $80~. honestly, i would spend the extra money and just go with cat6. even if you won't utilize it now, you won't have to upgrade for...
i'd like to see you push 10gig over cat5e.
you should run cat6 instead of cat5e. the price of cat6 has really come down (esp if you buy on monoprice, spool prices are stupid cheap) to the point where it makes no sense to not run cat6.
tests run by the wonderful..

nevermind, apparently you have to have all your storage attached before installation.. went through installation again and sure enough it listed my test raid.
i thought i had read a couple places (including the HCL) that the 2405 was supported in xen. i seem to be having issues loading it. i've tried some of the rpms on the adaptec site, but nothing seems to have helped. anybody used this combo before and could shed some insight? i'm using xenserver...

waiting for my motherboard RMA to finish from newegg.. DOA :( i have everything sitting here waiting on newegg. after family leaves from visiting on monday i will break out the dremel and go postal on...
