It will fit. But the VRM module will seriously limit your CPU cooling choices.
I have the Impact VI. This looks like the Impact VIII.
The VRM is the same height, but slightly longer as it stretches toward the power connector.
I haven't seen any negative reviews of the Silverstone SFX psu.
So it was naturally going to be my goto PSU.
What is this noise that the silverstone makes which people find annoying?
My aren't you a pleasant set of labia :D
at least I commented about the case/site progress in my last post and didn't waste it trying to attack another user.
Anyway, fingers crossed, hope the review is good and the link is posted soon.
Don't call me that, I haven't gone by that name in a couple of thousand years. :D
Just curious about the domain he'll use, also would like to keep it on my watchlist.
Any more rude and pointless shutdowns?
I've already purchased my CPU cooler combo and the silverstone SFX 600W.
...just waiting on the case now.
Yes...
Waiting....
Are we there yet??
*Edit I promised myself I wouldn't post another "Shut up and take my money" meme.
I had the same understanding....
...Hmmm so crowd funding is still required, those things go for a while.
Meaning the case is a year away. :(
This thread is practically my home page. I am THAT excited for this chassis.
I look forward to the crowdfunding and would like to see what options...
I love the case as displayed by the rendered on page one of this thread and would be $250AU for it.
Even the beautiful charcoal, not quite black not quite grey color.
I love that front panel, the single switch and the single USB port both appear to be directly above the front feet.
Beautiful...
I feel the same way...but I find I can actually sleep if I trim back the zip ties neatly.
Birthday has come and gone and no sign of the A4 SFX :)
Hoping to get it before xmas ;)
Osmi is interesting.
But the A4 has everything I need in functionality. :D
Something as simple as back to back mainboard and discreet graphics pcbs hasn't been done before as far as I know.
I've gone the SLI/Crossfire route before. I've also OC'd my previous CPU's
But I've learned that a decent factory overclocked non-reference card provides best bang for buck.
I no longer watercool my cpu's and SLI just makes power requirements unreasonable (for a mitx build anyway)
So...
I'm buying 3 of these babies on launch day.
My brother is interested on a semi portable rendering powerhouse.
I want to replace my node 304
and I need to replace my old Thermaltake HTPC/Gaming box with this tiny thing.
Where are the pics? :)
Hmmm not a fan of the Nightblade. I would prefer the motherboard and graphics card to be back to back - the way the A4 does it.
The blower style CPU cooler is interesting
That's fair. First edition of anything is rarely any good.
Just wait for some reviews. I am already unhappy with the fact that I can only get 3 of my SSD's in the case. (is this still the case? Heheh no pun intended :D)
That is my ONLY gripe, but it's not enough for me not to purchase. ;)
LOL As mentioned before, good luck with the shielding. Heat is a pain too.
But I need this sfx case so badly! Dan, when can we expect it? :)
Hmm, I suppose down here in Melbourne I may have it in time for a Xmas build. :)
I found heaps of 170mm pci riser card/cables and was tempted to build this box out of lego - which I've done successfully in the past - while I wait for this chassis to be released.
I've got a new ITX build in mind. I almost bought the components today, but I think I'd rather hold out and get this case and some compatible components.
I got my wallet ready.
Are there any further details on the release date beyond "middle of 2015"
@David-Duc, it was actually an easy build. It got easier as I removed surplus cabling.
@Blank I've tried the H90. One of the tanks on the radiator actually makes contact with some video cards so be careful. The 140mm rad also wouldn't fit my Noctua 140mm fan
I cut/removed surplus PSU...
Sorry for the late reply....and the big pics.
The NZXT bracket fits WITHIN the chassis (just, only by 1 or 2 mm).
Having installed the Arctic Cooling Hybrid and the NZXT, I'd say they are both fiddly processes.
But the Hybrid's plastic shroud made contact with the chassis cover and pushed...
I just put this G10 bracket with a Corsair H55 on my EVGA SC ACX GTX 780.
32C idle temp. But this puppy hits a MAXIMUM temp of 51C running 3dmark for half an hour.
All in my tiny Fractal Design Node 304 case (Yes it fits!)
I had to mount the block with the tubes facing DOWNWARD in order to...
As an OR owner I have to comment.
This rift does not fit into any sort of "eh" category. The unit is so unbelievably light that you forget you are wearing it (even with the annoying cable) or the screen door effect created by the combination of low res and low pixel density.
I have played a...
Sorry to bump an old thread but I also need help with this.
I have a gigabyte 5970.
No included DVI-HDMI adaptors.
I have tried a 4870 with a generic dual link DVI to HDMI adaptor and I GET AUDIO!
Unfortunately I dont have that entire system anymore, so I can't check drivers etc.
I use the...
Quick question regarding audio.
I have a 5970 on mine and I'm trying to get HDMI audio going.
But this is only because my onboard realtek chip sucks.
I have 5.1 channel audio cables connected to a set of Z-680's (and also tried a set of Z-5500) from logitech.
My center channel is noisy as...
The window-less case cover has a series of air holes where the perspex window is normally situated.
I've measued the window, thinking I can save myself a bit of work and just remove this window and the cooler fans would fit. But it's just too small.
If I'm going to have to cut metal, I'd...
... but it answers a few questions I think. These are a couple of weeks old and I've done further work to the machine.
I took them with my phone so excuse the quality.
Nearly finished. Just a shot of the case with most of the components in place. The 5970 being the main feature.
Top down...
well, to give you a taste:
I have this: http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalog/images/gallery/5970_01l.jpg
...attached to the same Gigabyte 5970 as shown on page 11 by Trungerz.
And it's sticking out the side of my case by around 5mm....and I think it looks hot. Other's will point and laugh...
I'm about to take and post some pics of my sg07 build.
i7 875K
DFI MI-T36
4gb RAM
5970 with the arctic cooling aftermarket cooler on it.
NOTE: This makes the card almost 3 slots in WIDTH! I have ordered a replacement non window lid as I do not want to cut my existing window case cover. I...
Had something weird happen to me. I have my gaming/htpc connected to a bravia 1080p lcd tv.
I VERY carefully installed this cooler and powered on my pc. Fans and drives spin up, but no "beep". Also the tv kept "clicking", the same sound it makes when I switch resolutions.
So I wipe the...
Sorry to bump such an old thread. But I love these noctua fans in this V351. I was wondering about the cut that was done to fit the U9B. Was that necessary? It is possible to remove the PSU to fit the cooler?
I remember that the bracket fits to the board, then there are two spring mounted...
Just googled it. Interesting. the cpu sites a bit to the left. Wonder it will interfere wtih my Noctua cpu cooler that I had in mind.
As for mATX and the Rampage II Gene. Can anybody recommend:
1. A cpu cooler to go on an i930? (Prefer noctua)
2. a PSU that would fit in the LianLi V351...
I heard back from Lan-gear, they want an EXACT address so they can figure out the cost of shipment to Melbourne (AUSTRALIA!! :p )
I sent two replies....haven't heard back
So far customer service sucks. May be early warning signs to steer clear.
Looking at the Lian-Li V351 and the Silverstone...
