I LOVE my Lian Li PC-V359. It's a micro-ATX cube case with a compartmentalized design not too dissimilar from the Air 540. It ended up buying the Lian Li over Corsair because it's solid aluminum.

In what universe? Traffic at MTBS, Reddit, and the official Oculus forums has spiked since it was announced that Facebook has assembled a team with John Carmack and Michael Abrash.
That's already been done. The Virtuix guys have been playing HL2VR with their treadmill. You aim independently with the Razer Hydra controller. You can be looking forward with the Oculus Rift and use your arm to blind fire around a corner or shoot over your shoulder.
The hardware panel is resolution, and yeah its 1280×800 (640×800 per eye). However, with supersampling you can greatly improve the image quality by running games at 1920x1200. The pixel pitch is 215ppi. Basically, it feels like you've been teleported to another world, and that you're wearing...
Tactical Haptics has been working on a haptic feedback controller for the Rift and hopes to market it to the National Institute of Health (NIH) for VR medical simulations. So yeah, it's going to be pretty relevant in the very near future across the entire technology industry.
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
This has got to be the most asinine thing I've ever read at [H]. How on earth is Oculus VR a Kickstarter thief? They created a product on Kickstarter and sold it. I bought their product on Kickstater, I received it in the mail...
What's with all the negativity here??? I have the Dev Kit and to be quite blunt, it BLEW ME AWAY. Seriously, this is the coolest tech I've seen since 3dfx cards shipped in the 1990s. After spending a few hours in HL2 with the Rift + Hydra, I don't really see 2D monitor and M&K as being a de...
Why? John Carmack is a really great guy, and he's been a great pioneer in the tech industry. I'm really excited to see him working with Oculus VR, seems like a great fit for Carmack's talent.
It's a smart move. I'm more excited about the announced VR branches of Half-Life 2, Project Cars, The Gallery: Six Elements, Among the Sleep, and Star Citizen than any game announced for the XBOX720 or PS4.
I don't get the negative comments here, this device seems way more exciting than smartphones and tablets. The Oculus Rift is exactly what I want in the future, not Google Glass or Windows 8.
Already bought the prototype and will be buying the consumer version in 2014/2015.
Except the buzz at GDC is that it isn't following the path of its predecessors. Thanks to huge technological leaps thanks to the smartphone industry, the Rift can take advantage of wide FOV, ultra-low latency, and high resolution displays which didn't exist in the 1990s and aren't even being...
Awesome video of the Rift in action

This is nothing like VR of the past. Valve is even porting "Team Fortress 2" to VR from the ground up specifically for the Rift. Ships with the SDK. :-)
Anyone have any experience with Abee cases? Afaik, they are only available in Japan but I have seen them for sale @ amazon.co.jp. I was curious if the build quality was worth the hype, and if so... if I were to try to purchase one at amazon.co.jp, do they ship to the USA?
First person that has a 4K monitor that is 30" or under has my $$$. And imho it isn't a waste at all. The 108ppi ACD27" on my desk does not have the same clarity from where I sit a few feet away that I get from an iPhone 5.
Why? Fringe was renewed explicitly because of Twitter. The President of FOX, Kevin Reilly, took the show off the 2012 chopping block because it trended so well on social media. The producers at FOX even confirmed this and created a "Thank you" video for their fan base.
No one is forcing...
This is GREAT news. There are huge fan communities that tweet weekly about scripted serialized dramas like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Homeland, The Walking Dead, Fringe, etc. This will prevent the ratings from being so heavily skewed from reality TV and procedural shows.
Fringe...
Just how bad is the bleed on this? Was thinking about picking this up for someone this Christmas. Would it be a deal breaker for casual people just using it to surf the web in a fairly well lit environment?
For semi-gloss, the PB278Q looks like a great bargain. If you want 100% glossy, I would get the ACD27". Afaik Apple is the only glossy 27" that isn't Korean (don't quote me on that though)?
Well I most certainly want a Retina 27"! I sit a few feet away from my ACD27" and at 2560x1440, yes, I can immediately tell the difference between my monitor and the vastly superior iPhone 4 with regards to pixel density.
I might recommend getting the new XIM Edge over the XIM3. The Edge has no screen but you can configure XIM key bindings and sensitivity in-game on your console which is really cool. I actually find it easier than hassling with a screen but it's really just personal preference. Both are...
I dont know what size you are gunning for OP but if you want a 27" 2560x1440p with no AG you basically have 3 options:
1. Apple (LED Cinema Display D27")
2. Samsung (SA850 or S27B970D)
3. A Korean monitor (Catleap, Shimian, Achieva, Crossover, PCBank)
