Necere, I wonder how the inside look with the OOD in place. I suspected there are two camps out there: those who don't care OOD and those who opt for ODD (such as Blu-Ray)
Necere, I'd thought (IMHO) that you could place the ventilation on the bottom where the GPU (so that the GPU could draw air outside or push out air) for adequate cooling. All in all, the concept look well define. And I'd say a shorter GPU would be a idea, given that all other componets put in a...
I like this concept - very clean and simple. The main nugget when it come to any small form factor [console/steaming] case is heat - no one like heat. Keep up good work, Necere. Hopefully your concept design (whatever you have in mind) become a reality. :cool:
I must say I actually like the LRPC prototype in the first post, whether in vertical or horizontal - it's an excellent Steam-machine/console type case - but I suspected, like you said, the main concern is the thermal performance. Speaking of your current design, Necere, are you shooting for 10L...
I'd thought you could just leave out the PSU out of the case (which take up space in the case) and use an external power adapter. Maybe then GPU (some components like HDDs) would have extra clearance as well as possible add a couple 120mm fans on the GPU compartment to cool the video cards. Just...
Wahaha360,
Maybe you and Necere need some little motivation or convincing to start back up this console/steam machine style LRPC
project. :D If you and Necere can overcome the impossibles or obstacles with the M1 case, ya'll can overcome the same
with this project. :cool:
Raja@ASUS, I don't know if this question has been asked but will the Maximus VIII Ranger make it to the States side?? I'm interesting in that motherboard.
Check out Aerocool PGS-A Aero-1000 Mid-tower case - has filters on top, front and bottom (for PSU).
See for yourself: http://www.aerocool.com.tw/index.php/chassis/pgs/pgs-a
Or this: http://www.aerocool.us/pgs/pgs-a/pgs_a_a1000_w.html
I have the USB 3.0 cable plugged to the USB 3.0 ports on back of the motherboard - do keep in mind you will get a slower speed if you connect to USB 2.0 ports. :cool:
I see you finally got your cases - three PC-7FNWXs? Wow, I wonder where did you get your cases from?
Oh, by the way, the HDD and Power LEDs are on the Power and Reset buttons themselves - when you turn on your build, you will see the Power button lit up as well as the Reset button (which act...
For those of you who are wondering if a longer video card will fit in this case, here is a pic below illustrated for you:
Maximum Video Card Size:
430mm = 16.9 inches
290mm = 11.4 inches
Hope this be of help for some of you.:cool:
January? Wow, that's such a long wait, huh. Well, that just a couple more months or so. Beside the new Sandy Bridge, have you gather what parts you are going to put into this quality case or no?
I got my case a few months back - I had to pay a premium for it but I love it - such a quality...
I remembered seeing that Corsair 800D case at Fry's and goodness, that things is huge:eek:
@Atara, How are you liking the PC-7FNWX so far (minus the side windows that came with iit)???
