just got mine. seems to have no dead or stuck pixels, and only a little blacklight bleed, but that's expected. the brightness is all the way down but damn it's still bright
ok, well, i just don't want the tinting issue of the NEC. if it weren't for that it would be no contest. do you think it's worth it to take a risk since the issue is apparently less prevalent compared to the U2410?
Is 667:1 a bad ratio?
ok, sounds good then.
Has anybody here tested brightness distribution on the monitor?
eta: and will i have problems with calibration on integrated video?
Are there any results in this thread that show banding after calibration?
eta: also, tftcentral states that after checking color gradients, there were no apparent banding issues:
"Colour accuracy was also corrected nicely with very impressive results obtained. Average dE was now 0.2, with a...
I am currently looking for a new monitor that has an IPS panel and can be used for a graphics tablet I have. I want good color accuracy, relatively deep blacks, and a decent contrast ratio.
According to tft central and flatpanelshd, the NEC has better contrast ratio and black levels than...
So, I'm trying to decide between this and the NEC EA231WMi. Initially the NEC looked better to me based on the reviews because of better brightness uniformity and black levels, but the EA231WMi thread has some users complaining about the same tinting issues as on the U2410, and I don't want...
