    Wanting a non-reference 980 Ti

Our new and improved HOF edition will be shipping in a week and a half. http://galaxstore.net/GALAX-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-980-Ti-HOF-6GB_p_82.html Especially the LN2 version, current 3dmark world record holder in the 980 Ti category. Ridiculous 960 amp capacity on the power system. Even...

Only once we've got an exact ship date on stock, and as of this moment I only have a sophisticated wild ass guess of when that will be.

    Sold Out Everywhere!

Alright guys, my team just confirmed the 799 price on this card was indeed an error. It somehow got swapped with another item in the setup process. It's now fixed and showing the correct price of 649.99. They're already flying out the door too, so better run if you want one for yourselves...

    Best Nvidia AIB company?

Yeah, I'm a marketing guy and even I hate when people do that shit. As long as we're not under NDA I generally share whatever I can without guessing. Aggravates the home office sometimes but I find it's easier to get forgiveness than permission.

    Best Nvidia AIB company?

Can't say for sure yet but based on prior launches I'd say to expect it sometime in July.

    Best Nvidia AIB company?

Yup, we're still going strong with the new GALAX brand. In fact we just shared a sneak peak of the upcoming GTX 980 Ti HOF this morning: https://www.facebook.com/GalaxyUS/posts/871209192949259

Galax GTX 970 Hall of Fame

It might look hefty but 129.1mm is the correct height. I've double checked the dimensions myself with a ruler and it's spot on, 129mm from the bottom of the connector to the top of the card.

Can an SLI bridge go bad?

We always suggest using a pencil eraser to clean gold contacts and it generally works pretty well.

Can an SLI bridge go bad?

Anything man-made can break. Before you replace it though, go ahead and try flipping the connections around. No idea why but that can help sometimes too.

Galax GTX 970 OC with free SSD $329.99

Unfortunately, no. Since the game bundles are done at the retail level and we sell direct only in North America we don't have access to any codes to give out, otherwise we most definitely would. Still a sweet deal IMHO though; I'd take free hardware over free games any day, personally...

Free GALAX Gamer 240GB SSD w/ GTX 980 HOF Preorder Bundle at Galaxstore.net

According to Silverstone the max card length is 13.3" and max width 5.7" on this case, so it should be an easy fit. The HOF's only 12.13" long by 1.93" wide. It is a 2.5 slot cooler though, so you'd have to swap in an aftermarket cooler or waterblock to fit a 2nd one in this particular build.

Which Video Card Should I Purchase?

Wish I could have jumped in here earlier to mention that anyone shopping for a high end card may be interested to know about a crazy good deal we'll be doing at our own store (galaxstore.net) in just a couple days. We just launched our Gamer Series SSDs last week and as sort of a celebratory...

Cheapest Graphics card that does 4K output

According to my specs the GT 640 and GT 730 are the most basic cards that support 4k 24Hz via HDMI. If you're wanting the full 60Hz you'll need a GTX 960 or better for HDMI 2.0 support.

    Thoughts on this 970?

There's often more to it than currency conversion when importing a graphics card. Customs and taxes can add to the final price quite a bit in some regions. I don't know off hand what VAT is like for Australia, but 15% wouldn't be an unusual rate and that would account for the $70 difference...

    PSU for GTX 970

Making do with questionable PSU capacity is always dicey. People run systems with lower than the recommended PSU all the time, and if it's a quality unit and the rest of the system has sufficiently low power usage it can work just fine. The real problem however is that it will most likely SEEM...

    Need Opinion on scenario

I think you'd be making a fairly even trade performance wise. I know I'd personally want to hang on to the desktop monitor, mouse and keyboard for gaming, but Maxwell mobile GPUs are extremely competent in comparison to their desktop counterparts. If you're looking to save space though...

Will a GT 640 drive this 3-screen setup?

Shield and Shadowplay are both still Windows only for the time being. Maybe there'll be Linux support someday but for now these features probably won't be of much interest to you. Not surprised about the remote desktop performance though. Those displays combined would be about 4k res...

Will a GT 640 drive this 3-screen setup?

Should work just fine. Can't think of any reason it wouldn't. The GTX 650 Ti will give you about 2X the performance since it has GDDR5 and double the cores. It also has Shield and ShadowPlay support, but aside from that it's pretty similar to the GT 640 feature-wise.

Galax GTX 970 Hall of Fame

By the way, since the reviews aren't out just yet on the 970 HOF I can at least comment on performance from my own personal experience. I'm not the foremost expert on overclocking, but I got a random pick of the lot to test and I was able to reach 1609MHz on the core with 3969MHz memory. This...

You're referring to the 970 OC, right? Did you include the bracket when you measured? The dimensions listed on our site generally include the bracket with mounting flange, which adds about 2cm.

Quick-switch between Extended Desktop and Surround?

Serious props for staying on this project with regular updates for so many years. Best 980 for OC w/watercooling that have 2 DP outputs?

http://www.galaxstore.net/product-p/98nqh6dnd2tx.htm The 980 HOF has 3 DP outputs, and if it's more juice you're looking then this is the way to go. Plus, if you're planning to put it on water and want to really crank up the voltage, I'll save you the trouble of looking for this handy dandy...

Assasians Creed Unity SLI Performance, Mine Sucks

I found TotalBiscuit's not-quite-review video to be really informative on this topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgpzT5V5Mgs I haven't played it yet myself, but I really hope they clean things up a bit because it seems like there's a pretty decent game under the current technical issues.

Nvidia control panel settings won't stay

6 to 8 pin adapter enough to power 970?

I'd just ask Silverstone. They'll know better than anyone which adapters work best with their PSU. I can say though that we've been including dual molex to 8-pin adapters with our cards for years and they haven't caused a problem yet. By the way, it's worth mentioning that even factory...

GTX 460 - Experiencing Driver Issues / BSOD

Sounds to me like something's gone awry with the onboard NIC or the board itself, or some kind of conflict has popped up for whatever reason. I'd try a BIOS update on the motherboard first and make sure you've got the latest drivers for the chipset and all the various onboard components...

EVGA SC, EVGA Classified or KFA HoF 780?

I'm sorry to see how things turned out on your RMA and regret missing the opportunity to jump in the moment these concerns first came up. upgrade question regarding a gtx 750 ti vs gtx 760

A new PSU will add to the cost if you decide to go with a GTX 760, but keep in mind that if you get a good one it'll still be there the next time you upgrade too, and possibly even the time after that. A quality PSU is always a pretty sound investment. If you consider the PSU as an upgrade on...

upgrade question regarding a gtx 750 ti vs gtx 760

I don't foresee any bottlenecks from that CPU with either card. The 750 Ti is a very capable gaming card but a 760 will be around 50% faster in most situations. What sort of display do you have and what games are you wanting to play?

We're working on some fairly involved changes in the back end to add some much requested features. Can't get a straight answer on 2GB vs 4GB for GTX 770

We've been having a lively debate on this at overclock.net where I put in my two cents: http://www.overclock.net/t/1488302/why-you-should-always-get-more-vram-gtx-770-4gb/30#post_22241187 To summarize my thoughts, 2GB is plenty for a single card, 4GB is a no-brainer for SLI. At least that's...
