The 5830 would be a great card for 250$ if the 5850, and the 4890, and the 5770 were never made.
And the 4850 cuase you could Xfire those and be a S*hitload faster for 50$ less.
Normally with a new nm prossces you get all the following:
1. Price goes down.
2. Power usage lowers.
3. Cards get faster.
4. Power effecancy raises.
5. Avviablity is increased.
Not anymore!
Nope.
The 5770 perfroms almost the same as an 5830, beats ti when OC'd, is 100$ less, and uses less power and heat.
Doesn't it suck when you try to flame and you fail at it?
^
THe MSRP on the 5830 is 250$, so not realy,.
And not many people are buying it cuase the 5770 is the better choice.
It's 100$ more thna a 5770 on NEwegg.
The epic battle.
THe HD 5830 vs the GTX 465.
Wich POS card can fail the hardest?
Dun Dun Dun .....
Fact remains, the 200$ 4890 beats both of those cards.
The 5830 is only 40$ less than a 5850.
The GTX 465 is 10$ less.
Both cards should have never been made.
The GTX 480 is the [H]st card around, no matter hwo you want to look at it.
3 GTX 480s is the [H]st setup money can buy, therefore the 480 is the [H]st card out there.
Sure a 5970 is more [H] than a single 480, but the 480 has a upgrade path, unlike the 5970.
Hey, dude don't bash Tom's.
They've been getting better, and thier fourms have this awsome function where if soemone posts in a thread you ahve posted in, it lists all those threads in the corner of the page, saves a lot of time.
EDIT:
LOL AT 5830 OCing to 5850 speeds!
