I've played Anki, it's actually really fun. It's so much better than the types of slot cars that I had when I was a kid with copper wire contacts.
It's actually a game, you steer the car, try to shoot your opponents, and adjust the speed of the car all in hope of winning the race. Think of it...
There was a deal or two on the 440 a couple of months ago, but I don't think it was a turn-key unit. Regardless, less than $300 is a good deal for either machine.
Ordered mine on Monday afternoon, received it today. Just installed Ubuntu for grins, no issues. Seller shipped super fast, server came in the Lenovo box.
I'm trying not to be greedy, but it pisses me off that Amazon markets an exclusive sale for subscribers of a relatively expensive club, and then executes it as poor as they have.
This whole shindig was about generating traffic and new memberships and had nothing to do with rewarding loyal...
Just bought this from a third party seller. It was $9.99 and the promo code in the OP dropped it to $2.99, all came to $5.53 after tax and shipping.
Great deal!
I disagree, do you wait to buy new tires until your old ones blowout? There's nothing more important in your case than the power supply. $100 or less is cheap insurance imo. Pretty sure your processor would cost more than that to replace.
I bought Panasonic in September of 2009. It's been a fantastic TV. Mine is a 50", model pz850u. I've thought about buying another plasma while there are still a few around.
Bought $400 in Target gift cards with this promo right after OP posted the deal. Needed a stroller for the one on the way, found a 15% off target coupon as well. What a deal!!! Thanks OP!
Maybe in the PS world, but their RAM was fine until they went broke. They also had some of the fastest SSD's on the market, but the sandforce controller proved to be a bit unreliable, and things went downhill quickly.
It's still questionable and unfortunately the latest machines are probably leased for another 2.5 years. I could pretty easily fill 8gb in 2010, now it's a joke. I too work on a work-issued laptop, and struggle to keep it below 6gb. Excel, IE, etc. are all memory whores.
If they're working...
15.6 is a sweet spot for pricing. If someone wants a smaller notebook with a reasonable amount of ram(not 2gb) and a nice mobile processor, this is a good deal.
Not to mention is NIB.
I have two Lenovo laptops, both are quirky, and the build quality is less than impressive. Trying to find any accessories for them is a complete pain. I tried to order a replacement keyboard for one of them and Lenovo told me it would be 6 months. Tried to order an extra power adapter because...
Personally, I'm not a proponent of the CX series. I would also replace it with a quality PSU between 600-750w. Don't just look at the brand names, they're a start but there are a lot of good PSU's out there that are rebranded Seasonics, etc.
5 years is decent, my last corsair lasted me 8 across two builds. As stated above, I wouldn't plug that thing into any hardware that I cared about for fear that it would kill something else. No telling what kind of power is being sent to your components, or how they will react.
Out of...
It looks like this might have been on sale earlier this month for $299, which imo is a screaming deal. I think I will go check this out in store, my wife could use a laptop for her masters work.
One thing I've noticed about HP hardware lately is that it feels really solid in comparison to...
Although the Corsair is semi-modular, I would avoid it. Not impressed with the one that I have, first lasted ~5 months. May or may not be indicative of the product, but it didn't work for me.
Second time around, I went with the EVGA 750 G2.
I'm using an Asus Strix GTX970. I'm very pleased with the performance. It's incredibly quiet, and will OC if I push it. I was able to OC to 1425MHz on the core, and I think I only bumped memory ~250mhz. Even at 1425, there was no noticeable fan noise to me.
Congrats on the upgrade! I hope you enjoy the new card, and the capabilities meet your requirements.
Also, congratulations on the future addition to your family!
I bought a Asus Strix 970 last weekend, and was exploring OC today. Truthfully, for any of the games I play, the increase is negligible. Mind you, I don't play FPS games or anything really intensive. I love the fact that the card is for the most part silent, and the temps hover around the 60C...
I actually enjoy my 1520 camera, it's also in line to get an update to Cyan that should toss a few updates at the camera. 8.1 is much nicer than 8. My wife likes the phone, but has broken two of them as it's just too big for her to hold easily. You have to man handle this sucker!
The prospect of having a semi powerful tablet running a desktop OS is awesome. I currently have a Lenovo k3011, which works pretty well.it is certainly no powerhouse though.
Disagree. Everyone I know with an iphone carries a charger around with them. I own the epic 4g touch and I get 17-18 hours easily with wifi on for most of 12 hours and very poor signal in the workplace. My GS2 is by far the best phone I have ever owned.
Now, do you like to customize your...
Most likely this is due very little to rom/kernel improvements. Usually CM7 is overclocked to some degree by default.
You can find this, from what I recall, in the "Performance"subset of the Cynogen Settings in the regular Settings menu. It will "warn you that dragons are ahead" before you...
I built an i5-2400 system for my mom, its very smooth, runs extremely cool and very quiet. I think having an available upgrade path is worth it. Not to mention after you upgrade, less than $100 and some extra parts and you can have the 2400 running with onboard graphics pretty easily
