Did the article mention whether the 5670 is a 512MB or 1GB model? I doubt it matters for gaming at such low resolutions. Still, knowing an almost one year old 512MB card (if this is the case) beats the latest 1GB low end nvidia card on price and performance makes this attempt look weak.

Amazingly my RMA came through. I sent in my broken 8800GTS 512 OC on Aug 4th and today received a virgin GTX 260 OC maxcore 55 with the protective film intact on the stickers. I must have gotten one of the last cards before BFG (supposedly) stopped honoring RMAs.
Well this thread went from making me hopeful to depressed about my recent RMA in 30min. This Jeff guy seemed to be working his magic and helping all the less-than-satisfied customers get replacement parts pretty quick. Then Jeff seemed to disappear and now it sounds like my 2.5yr old 8800GTS...
