Having decided I can live with just one DVI port, I'm going to keep the 5970. Still bugs the hell out of me, and I will loath artic cooling until the day I die, and will do all I can do run their name through the ground.

Sapphire 5970 w/ failed dvi port.

I just took the X adapters off mine to see if it would help, and nothing. Temps are the same. So it's not even needed in the install.

Does your left DVI port make the windows connect sound? Or is it completely dead?

Are you going to replace our broken cards, with working cards that come pre-installed with the cooler? That is the only option I will take. For the record your idea of support is a joke.

I used macro, tripod, and a remote shutter release. My little canon g10 was struggling with the light.

I had a bad 5770 (BSOD) 5870 (GSOD), and now the left dvi port on the 5970 just stopped working.

What? I posted pictures of me installing the cooler, cleaning off the thermal paste etc. I know the second link contained pictures of it in the case. But the first link has what you are asking for.

Are you talking about bending the metal support, by the DVI ports? If so I tried bending it both ways. I even tried putting it in the other pci express.
