Is anyone else having problems getting the front panel audio to work? I get faint static plugging headphones into the pink port, and absolutely nothing from the green port. I really don't know how to determine if the issue is related to the motherboard (Gigabyte P55M-UD4) or the front panel...
DP-VGA is way cheaper than DP-DVI. I'm really not sure if they're active or not, but a ton of people (myself included) have had success running the 3rd monitor in eyefinity using DP-VGA with adapters in the $20-$30 range. I'm running 3 monitors at 1600x1200 each fwiw and I believe people have...
You shouldn't just click on the monitor at the bottom, click on the black triangle in the upper right of the monitor's icon. That should give you options, and it sounds like Extend is exactly what you want to do.
Huh? Yeah their decision is all about whether the profit margin for bing was worthwhile or not but for consumers prices certainly weren't higher if you got to a site from bing than if you went directly to the site.
That thread has a graphic right near the top about which screws to get (6-32 x 1 1/4). 6x32 describes the width and threadcount I believe, and they're 1 and a quarter inch long. They're sold in most hardware stores or home depot/lowes. Print this out and take one of the screws with you as well...
They must have - it didn't ship with countersunk screws. I couldn't find any countersunk screws with the same threads and size at hardware stores and home depot in my area either. Would anyone care to mention where they found them?
Yes - either the drive or the drive and bracket together, whichever is easier. Another idea, if the drive and bracket could just swing upward to gain access to the cage below, that'd work for me.
Is it possible to make a smaller drive cage for current owners to buy? I'm using just 1 2.5"...
Try using a tool that can track the speeds (I like MSI Afterburner). 2 of the graphs should be clock speed and memory speed. The graphs will tell you whether it's switching around alot or if you're at your 2D speed the whole time. If you're at the lower speeds the whole time and it still...
Overclocking can really even out those speeds though, so if the Vapor-X has better cooling then you're better off OC'ing it to the same levels as the PCS++ and setting the fan to a lower speed. OC'ing these cards is really a piece of cake...
- Three piece cover
- Indent the side fan mount a bit (1/4"?) so that non-countersunk screws can be used to mount there (like, say, an H50)
- Anything that would alleviate the need to disassemble basically everything to get to the hard drive tray
I had a bit of delayed communication after my order as well. I didn't love waiting but I understood that it was a small operation and I couldn't expect immediate shipping and email responses. Matt did eventually respond to any emails that I sent him and I received my case I think like 12...
Agreed on the design issue - an extra quarter of an inch would have made a huge difference. I find that even without screws there the right side cover bulges slightly.
Several have mentioned mounting an H50 on the side mount but I don't know where I'd get countersunk screws with that...
I've got this case and I'm trying to install my H50 on the side 120/140mm fan mount. However, the mount for the fan doesn't give any clearance for screw heads when putting the case cover back on. When trying to slide the cover back on, the screw heads are just grinding against the inside of the...
I'll put in another vote on the P55M-UD4. I've got one in Da Box right now and love it. Only $140 on newegg and saves you $30 over the EVGA. Same price after coupon (but better Bing cashback) on eWiz also.
If you're anywhere in the vicinity of a Microcenter, the i7 860 alternates between $230 and $200 every few weeks. $230 right now, seems like a good bet for you, especially if you can wait til they put up next week's ads - it might drop back to $200.
Yeah the LED's are an issue for me too - besides the blue one lighting up the room at night, it seems that both of them get pressed on pretty hard by the front panel. The LED holders aren't up to the task and they get pushed in towards the center of the case enough that the LED's pop out of the...
How much variability in temps are people seeing from the fans alone? Is 5-10C too much to expect from replacing 2 somewhat generic CoolerMaster fans (not R4's) in push-pull exhaust mode with something like gentle typhoon AP15's? I'm running an i7 860 at 3.85GHz getting temps in the low 70's C at...
Did anyone else out there have an issue with the screws that came with their case? I received a motley assortment of screws which didn't match what was reflected in the manual at all. For instance, I received 8 or 12 black thumbscrews which aren't even listed in the manual, and none of the...
Yup, count me in as unwilling to drill holes. Anyone have other feet suggestions? The "risers" on the bottom of the case are woefully inadequate - there's isn't even room to reach my fingers underneath it to pick it up.
