absolutely. played DK2 at PAX last year and loved it. Played CV1 and Vive dev kit at PAX this year (in Jan) and loved it. My money is on the touch controls though. I don't like the wand/wiimote feel of Vive's controls. In fact, my Rift is in the city right now, just not out for delivery until...
As a former W900 and FW900 user I can promise you will be happy with a 120hz LCD *with* anti-motion blur. It is old now, but my Asus VG248QE with anti-motion blur on looks beautiful. In my little bit of reading since I got this, BenQ has been talked up as the best backlight pulsing system, but...
messing with anything can effect a noise.
I spent 15 years as an auto tech and there is nothing more annoying than someone to come in with an intermittent noise/electrical failure that comes and goes as it pleases.
Or wasn't there until I picked up the car and put it back down after a simple oil...
Find a cheap stethoscope from an tool/automotive place. Maybe harbor freight or northern tool.
One like this..
.. you can separate the extension and leave just the cup. It works well for narrowing down a more specific direction a noise can be coming from.
New intel is pretty much irrelevant. Merely more minor creeping up of power since AMD has fallen on its face.
Just cuz you have a grand to spend doesn't mean you need to. If you have access to a microcenter a 4690k + board combo can be had for $300. For the board make sure if you will ever go...
Honestly, if you get a really close strike there is nothing you can do about it.
The millions of volts just jumped the 1000+ ft from the sky, your few inches/feet and electronics mean nothing.
If it's gonna happen... it just is.
ok, I got one for you guys. I've not been on here in a while and read much of this thread back then, but I recently was tweaking on my screen again and some insane reason decided to see what the image restore would do.
Well it apparently rose my G2 back up, so I gotta dig my stuff back out and...
any small 2 or 3 foot wide desk is going to feel the weight of this monitor. the best way is an L shape corner desk. with it over the center leg it doesn't move at all.
Ok, bumm, I updated my previous post. It now comes with the 2 installs I used. See if you can make that work.
The flyback I believe was the focus popping in and out.
I think Math is talking about the over bright trace lines. Can't remember the details though.
Sorry for the delay, I've been sick and haven't felt like doing anything.

Ok... this should work. Hopefully.
new one with 2 installs - http://www.mediafire.com/?lu0mmqqhmzm
Same file name, but I now put the two installs in it. My only guess is because one file is an installer...
Where can I upload a file? I have the windas I used. It is an install that worked + the monitor profiles from a different download + a dll that appears to be what stopped mine from crashing.
And I used it in Win 7 just fine. I only needed XP mode for Nokia's tool.
Well I got mine working now. A couple changes got the comm going.
Unreal, I think that is strictly a cable with no comm chip. It won't really do anything.
I got this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250399285596
you only have to make 3 wires and I used floppy psu connections...
hmm, I dont have that type of install and the rar link is dead. I found one guy on icontic that was having crashes and he had to get MFC42.dll. I mailed the one from off this comp to myself to try at home.
I have another comp at home that is xp, but it is a mame cab, so cabling is an issue...
Would someone please help me with Windas. I just spent 3 full nights fixing a retarded SLI problem and wanted to get this calibrated and catch up on some game, so I'm just not in the mood for this right now.
I have the USB-TTL 6pin adapter from ebay. Wired up the Gnd, Rx, Tx. Drivers loaded...
i have an FW potentially for sale. to anyone up for the tweaking it needs. i just don't have the time/patience to deal with it even though i love the monitor.
i'm in houston.
