I sure hope so!
It's about damn time that Seasonic started making SFX sized powersupplies. Other companies have been cranking out even smaller SFX supplies for years now at higher wattages and efficiencies. I was just about to settle for one of them, too. As long as SFX-L isn't too big, maybe...
Looks good, thank you for the help. :) I'll have to pull the trigger on the M1 now, didn't want to blow $360ish on a case/psu/fans and then not have the GPU fit.
Yes, and I gave it shot. It's not as helpful as you'd think when searching a topic 27,735 posts long. I kept getting people...
So I haven't read all 685 pages (gasp), but I do see people in the last few pages talking about putting an Accelero III in the M1. I've been comparing the M1 technical drawings with the Accelero's technical drawings, and it doesn't look like it'll fit. Does this combination require modding of...
If it's Bioshock 1 and 2 like, then great. Infinte had an amazing world, but the gameplay was boring and they never really wrapped up the story to my satisfaction, so let's not do that again.
Now if they want to make an open world Bioshosck like Fallout 3 or Skyrim, I'll just disappear into...
Everyone should also pay attention to the cable type they're using. The cable in the article link is solid core copper,
That's intended to be used in walls and punched into jacks and patch panels. Sure, you can make a patch cable out of it and it'll be fine most of the time, but that's not...
Current Branch for Buisness doesn't exist anymore. 1607 was the last CBB build, after that everything is semi-anual.
I'd hope that people would have known this.
I'm a bit late to the party, but as far as the A8N-SLI Premium board not doing Windows 10 x64, it's because it doesn't do NX Disable bit. The CPU does, but it must not be exposed via the motherboard. The 64bit versions of Windows 8.1 and 10 require that to install. The 32bit Windows versions...
If it's teleportation based, I'm not really interested. There are a lot of games like that now, and it's really frustrating. For a world exploring game that's as massive as FO4, I can't imagine hoping across the wastes like that would be any fun.
The texture pack really helps out with the weapons. For example, the Radium Rifle has a bunch of capacitors down the top of it. After loading the HD textures all of those capacitors suddenly had readable manufacturer specs on them. Yeah, it's a little thing, but it was impressive none the less...
Thanks folks, got one ordered.:)
In case anyone has this same question later, the correct name for these things seems to be "tailed LED". It's amazing how much easier it is to find a part once you know what name the stores call them. :meh:
Okay, here's a weird question for you: does anyone know where to buy front panel LEDs? The ones with the twisted wire pair soldered on and the little motherboard connector on the end?
My case came with only one front panel LED, so I have to choose between a HD light or a power light. If...
That is a really good question. I've only ever been around those units when they where in a rack full of screaming servers.
The APC product page simply says "Audible noise at 1 meter from surface of unit: 46.0dBA", but doesn't say what load or conditions that's for.
Okay, I have to admit that I've been ignoring Ubisoft for a while now. Is Uplay required for these games, and is it still a steaming pile of always online DRM?
Bethesda.net has been around for some time, it is a legit site. It was officially launched as part of Beth's E3 2015 Showcase. It should be somewhere in this stream if you want to hear them talk about it.
That mod might be fake, however.
So the Asus card finally got reviewed today at PCPer. Can't say I'm terribly impressed. Louder fan, hotter temps and boost clocks that aren't as stable as the FE. Meh.
Sailfish is the cheaper of the two new Nexus phones. The larger Marlin device is the top phone ans is supposed to be aluminum uni-body. Still a little disappointing to see a plastic Nexus though.
So I'm looking for a 1060 to go in a mITX case and would like a blower card to exhaust all of the heat. Has any site reviewed a custom blower card yet? There at least three that should be out there, the Asus 1060 Turbo and Gainward and Galax have both pictured some too.
Anyone have one? Know of...
Oh, and the version I've got on the board is 2.11.1210(I'm guessing that makes it 2K111210?). The Zotac site makes no mention of this version. Build date is October 11th, 2011.
Hey all,
I recently bought a NOS Zotac Z68ITX-A-E (it even works!) to get my i7-2600 going, but I have no idea what the BIOS history was. The Zotac website lists 2K111011 and 2K120619 as options, though my board has a BIOS numbered between those two. Back in the day there was a lot of...
Most popular apps are available on both iOS and Android, so I can see them not wanting to do the work to build two emulators if it doesn't add many apps to your library.
The graphics are acceptable to me. There's better out there, but after re-playing FO3 in March, this is clearly better looking. Besides, I really just want another 100+ hour open-world Fallout game. You can only re-play the old ones so many times.
Right? I'm not surprised when people start...
Ugh. I see you are technically correct, Time2kill, the Oxford Dictionary does have swish listed as an adjective, but good lord... It sounds like something some frat house bro would say, like using "clutch" in place of cool. Oh well, moving on.:p
This reminds me of an episode of The Twilight Zone(the newer one), where they build teleporters for people. Instead of actually sending you anywhere it just vaporized you and then made a whole new copy on the other end.
I'm assuming you can't instal programs to the MicroSD slot, by the way. One of these would be a lot of fun with my GOG library loaded on it, but it's going to need a lot more program space.
It's cool, but 32GB of storage is a little concerning. How much storage does a 8.1 install take up? Twenty-something? I could see this having less then ten gigs of user space to play with.
Hmm, there's more games then I though. Anyhow, I grabbed a boxed copy of Wasteland 2, just because he'd been playing Fallout 1. Seems appropriate.
Thanks all, the other sugestions will make gifting easier throughout the rest of the year. :)
Hey all, I'm looking for a gift for a turn based PC gamer, but since I don't follow the turn based game genre I'm out of my depth. Where there any great turn based RPGs this year?
Bonus points for games that actually have a boxed version that can be gift wrapped and handed to...
I was going to post the same thing. There are plenty of products that I've come to hate over the years, but that doesn't mean the job doesn't get done. Hire people for their skills and work ethic, not their personal preferences.
I'm guessing they're trying to keep another XP from happening. Which is understandable considering the cluster fuck that's turned out to be, but they really should provide a long term service version for the enterprise. Linux distros do that, one rapidly updating version for the masses and a LTS...
