Well, I don't know if it is the best, but Windscribe seems to work for me. Used servers in USA, Japan, Various European countries. Connects to Netflix no problem.
Corsair K70 LUX w/ Brown Cherry Switches
I bought the old non-LUX K70 version for my dad last winter, with Blue Cherry Switches.
Really liked that keyboard when I tested it out, so I decided to buy one for myself when it was $60 off on NewEgg.
After reading up about it, and testing it out...
Thanks for the recommendations :).
I will probably end up ordering the TP-Link WDR3600 & EnGenius EAP600.
Can you recommend an Android App or Laptop Program that can help me determine the best places to mount/install the 2 AP's?
The main floor in the house is all one open area. It makes...
Currently using a D-Link DIR-655..
I would like to upgrade the unit to something that has better speed and range.
The Asus RT-AC87U was looking quite good, but then I saw Tom's Guide: 'Best Wi-Fi Routers 2015' and it mentioned that the 'Amped RTA1750' is the best router for a 'Large...
I think the choice of wording is just odd. Probably just meant to say that the higher framerates this monitor supports is beneficial for gaming. "Visually see" -- smoother motion in games.
I own an NEC FP2141-SB. It is a step up from the 900u - does 1600x1200 @109Hz.. but I think the tubes are...
Ugh. It is tough for me to even consider buying another Korean monitor, after my horrible experience with the Yamakasi Catleap 2703 -- instant eye strain.
I guess PWM free + PDC could be the night and day difference I am looking for.
Well, I did say I was willing to spend up to $1200 :p...
Hello,
I would like to order a new monitor that is easy on the eyes. ~95% of the time I will be using it to display text [Internet Browsing, MS Office Suite].
The other ~5% of the time it will be used for playing the odd video clip.
I bought one of those Korean 27" IPS monitors last year...
=HTPC=
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
XBMC - 1080p movies, music
Gamepad friendly PC games
Dolphin emulator - FAQ recommends i5 3570k cpu @ 4.4ghz
Web browsing - occasionally
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included...
How does this look?
Mix of new parts that will contribute to both PC's:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Jah3
Was thinking of setting them up like so:
HTPC:
Intel i5-3570k
Asus Maximus V Gene
8GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X 1600-DDR3 -- swapped over from main PC
Crucial M4 256GB
ASUS 5850...
It will be for movies, music, AND games. Otherwise I'd just go with an i3 and onboard gpu.
Dolphin emulator recommends an i5 3570k o/c to 4.4ghz
Probably should have posted in the 'Small Form Factor Systems'.
The PC will be in my home theater room, playing back movies 75% of the time. I...

what would be a good mobo & cpu h/s to buy?
I would like to O/C to ~4.4ghz -...
There is a factory reset option in the NaViSet software.. I have a feeling that might turn the feature back to its regular 'disabled' state.
Only problem is, my NEC monitor is a CRT - as you may know, one of the negatives of CRT tech is [often times] imperfect geometry out of the box. I spent...
I really want this case for my HTPC/Emulator setup!
At first I was going to buy the Streacom FC8 Evo w/ optical drive slot, but that has been delayed twice now - not due till March.
Now my plans have changed somewhat.. instead of going for a strictly movie-based HTPC w/ i3 processor, I...
"Constant Brightness: sustains the brightness and screen color levels consistently over the normal life of the monitor. The Constant Brightness function requires a 30 minute warm-up of the monitor before the feature is fully functional."
Was just exploring some of the built-in menus on my...
Am I doing this right? I target an enemy with the tab button, run up to them with my directional keys [using melee character], and then commence mashing the number keys and mouse buttons?
Been awhile since I played GW1, but it seems pretty clunky having enemies evade your melee character...
Is this currently for sale anywhere in North America?
Are there any Mini-ITX Intel i3 motherboards that feature Dual-Link DVI output? Or is that a limitation of the Integrated Intel GPU?
Would something like the ATI Radeon HD 5450 fit in this case [if no intel mobos currently support...
Yea, sorry.. I was trying to explain that we wanted to use 2 external monitors. Already have a single Dell U2311H, would like to purchase another.
This is strictly for business use - nothing game related. Microsoft Office Suite and Web browsing.
I will look at the Matrox solution. Knowing...
Thanks for the clarification.
So, if I still wanted to buy a second monitor, what would I need? Am I out of luck? I see a key item missing from the 'expansion' section of the specs - 'PCIE x16 slot' :(.
My father has a Portégé M400 w/ an Express Port Replicator.
He would like to purchase a second [Dell U2311H] LCD monitor to complement the one he already has.
The laptop itself has a single VGA connection at the back. When he uses the Express Port Replicator, it has a VGA & a DVI port...
In Canada packages are sent via Purolator [from what I have read and personally experienced - could change over time].
Ignore the wording on the website, it was obviously centered towards their American customers.
Did any of you guys receive free Asus headphones? I didn't. Wondering if...
One of these guys - except it has some padded tape on the side that the motherboard rests against.
Not a selling point IMO. None of my other motherboards have ever come with this.
Almost forgot about this little project.
I will try the Q6600 setup first - right now it is in storage w/o a power source. I plan on buying a PSU for it tomorrow.
I had 3 instances of Windows Server 2k8 R2 running [something like Domain Controller, DNS, + SQL on one.. Exchange 2010 and...
When I recently upgraded to a i7-2600k setup [see 1st PC in sig], I decided to keep my old Corsair HX620W PSU from my last build [see 2nd PC in sig] thinking that I would sell the other parts on Ebay.
Now I have decided that I want to use the old PC parts for a virtualized home server.. which...
