Well, the old faithful Samsung finally kicked the bucket on me tonight after 6 years of intense use. Been waiting for the ultra wide offerings from LG & Dell to officially drop but they are dragging their feet along with ASUS and their ROG monitor. So I need a temporary fix for right now...

Last I heard the 29" was actually pretty decent with the recent revision

What an odd resolution. Personally i'd like to see everyone stop making 1080p panels, it's kind of old hat and way overdone by now isn't it?

I use CFL bulbs outside, and its single digits or lower here for 4 months or more, haven't had a problem yet.

They seem to have the capacity to make really great business monitors, and their aesthetic is always top-notch, but for whatever reason they always seem to fall short with a few key details.

The CX271 looks badass for design work, which undoubtedly means it's going to have some god awful signal delay and ghosting

Never stated I used a 2772, just don't care for the coating on it. I'm partial to glossy screens myself. If there's something suddenly outstanding about their semi-glossy coating that I haven't seen before in the past few years then I might give it a second glance.

Had me sold on the 2755AMG until I saw it was 20ms... ouch.

Look forward to hearing what you think about the Z30i, always enjoy your reviews. Hopefully its coating is better than the VP2772, I didn't much care for the finish on that one.

I get that a lot from people, but truth be told once you start getting over a certain hz, I start to get motion sickness for some reason. 120hz looks rockin, but it does me no good if I have to stop to puke every 10 minutes :p

So what falls into the range of a graphic design monitor with a decent response time?

The VP2772 looks amazing, especially since I primarily use my PC for work, and it says 6ms for response time, so it -should- be decent enough for gaming, obviously with it's pricetag its going to be a upper-tier solution for some. So damn hard finding a decent monitor for both graphic work AND...
