    LCD Monitors with the darkest blacks

    I spend a lot of time working on video in a dark room so I need to find a 23-24" monitor with very dark blacks. I'm trying to find out what suitable monitors are available. Ideally I'm looking for a 16:9 1920x1080 monitor, but a 16:10 1920x1200 would be OK if it meets my other requirements...

    Thanks, I'll look into the F2380 and other PVAs. I should have done a bit more research before buying, but something told me this was the one. I definitely think it's an excellent monitor, I'm just not sure it's going to suit my purposes very well.

    Eco and auto brightness are definitely off. I have brightness at 0%, contrast at 50% and sRGB selected. To me a black screen in a dark room doesn't look black at all. If I watch a dark black and white film it becomes very apparent that the black bars on the sides of the screen are not black...
