A new NEC professional IPS? PA series

I have the new NEC and i don't think the PA241W is better than the 2490WUXI2. As said, no A-TW polarizer. Same as Eizo SX2462W too. But you know what, one can get used to it. The benefits of IPS by far outweight the small freaky side effects.

A new NEC professional IPS? PA series

The PA241W is available in german stores for the last week. C'mon guys, buy this thing and report your impressions! Otherwise i will have to order it blind, at the end of the month... :D

    HP ZR24w

Lightroom uses your monitor's color profile, which is located in Win7's color profiles folder. Desktop looks oversaturated, games and videos too. There are workarounds, but the results are far from color correct (for example using "saturation -15" for desktop or media player). The deviations...

    HP ZR24w

Only color aware apps (Photoshop etc) are color managed in Win7. The most apps and the desktop are NOT color managed in Win7. Unfortunately.

A new NEC professional IPS? PA series

P-IPS is probably the new marketing speak for E-IPS, hehehe...

A new NEC professional IPS? PA series

Yeah, right. Except for the fact that the two (2!) different 2490Wuxi2 units i've seen had nasty dark blotches in the lower half and dark vertical stripes across the screen. No use of such fancy features if the panel is defective from the start. NEC should get his act together and...

A new NEC professional IPS? PA series

What is this XtraView+ feature (wide angle viewing technology)? Never heard of it... I'm curious to see if it's eIPS. The contrast is very good for an IPS Panel, i don't know if good ole H-IPS can do this.

And i'm glad there are more and more IPS options in the affordable sector. More choice is good. :)

    New HP LED-backlit monitors announced.

Sorry to disappoint you - it's just my gut feeling when i combine all the data available at this point (wich works most of the time ;)).

    New HP LED-backlit monitors announced.

The PDF says H2-IPS technology for improved energy efficiency. Coupled with the 1000:1 contrast spec, i'm very sure it's LG's 24" E-IPS Panel (used also by the 2490Wuxi2).

    Eizo CG243/SX2462W discussion

I have the DTP94 for measurement. It's good. Maybe the tech at Eizo meant 24" monitors, IDK. About NEC, at the moment i am waiting to see the new PA series. Meanwhile, i will try the 23" eIPS NEC, maybe i'll get a good one. The 2490Wuxi2 i tried had not only uniformity problems, it had...

    Eizo CG243/SX2462W discussion

Not only in Taiwan. On the Prad.de forum there are 3 units with the uneven brightness/whitepoint issue. Two of them where tested by me, and returned without second thoughts. The 3rd one belongs to a user who seems to be happy with the screen, even with the problem present...

24'' Apple Cinema LED Display alternatives?

Thanks evilsofa, i hoped there are other options i've overlooked. So, as i want to avoid wide gamut, the 2490 NEC seems like the only option, right? How does it compare to the Apple unit? Does it have inferior quality or does it match? My questions are specific, i hope that someone has seen...

24'' Apple Cinema LED Display alternatives?

Hello, I just discovered this forum and searched a bit, but have not really found satisfying answers yet. The picture the 24'' ACD produces is great. And since it's an IPS panel that's supposedly used in other brands too, i wonder what other monitors can deliver the same picture quality like...
