The 4080 FE is great. I bought one thinking I would never get a 4090, but if I did get a chance before the return period for the 4080 expired then I would return it and buy the 4090. My return period expired on 1/14 and I found a 4090 on 1/13. It arrives (hopefully) on Thursday.
There are Zotac models in stock at a few MicroCenters. I checked Chicago and Cleveland (I think Mayfield Heights) and they have them. There may be other ones that have them as well. Hopefully ones close to you.
I just ordered one from the Gigabyte Store for MSRP and free shipping. They charged my CC and I got a confirmation email. They do not ship to every state though.
I hear ya. My lease is up next year and while I love the vehicle I am not sure how reliable it is long term as they have only been for sale in the states for about four years. However, with car prices being what they are, I may just buy it.
I only use my CX48 for gaming and it is fantastic. Would never use it if I needed to get work done for longer than an occasional 15-20 mins at a time. I cannot see appreciable differences on the PG32 content, but most likely because I am not that attuned to them. So glad to see the discussion of...
I did the Elite spin thing and got a 20% off code. I did not see these cards excluded, does anyone know for sure? I doubt it will matter since it is only good for 90 days and the chances of my having a card by then are about zero.
I think I could just get 4:2:0, but someone else can confirm. It was/is outstanding. I only noticed the red text issue in Star Wars The Old Republic, which I rarely play, but even then it was not distracting enough to make much of a difference.
I used my CX for a couple of weeks before you were kind enough to let me get your 3080 from EVGA and while the 3080 is better, the 2080ti really did a nice job in everything I used it for. I enjoyed gaming on it with the 2080ti more than on the Gsync ultrawide I had before it. I never tried it...
I refund any game I do not enjoy playing or feel like it is not worth the price paid. Sometimes it is a technical issue, other times a wonky control scheme, no key rebinds, etc. I really appreciate the policies and do not abuse them, but it is nice that I do not have to be stuck with something I...
I have an O11 Dynamic and it is pretty good. I am thinking about changing it out mostly because I am bored more than any issues with the case. I am considering the Corsair 5000D, the Dark Base 900 Rev. 2 or the Silent Base 802. May be worth a look.
Came from the same monitor and while I enjoyed it, this one is so much more fun to use. Used it with a 2080ti and it was fine, using a 3080 now and it is worth it, but really does not detract from enjoying it.
I have used the upHere GPU brace for a big MSI Gaming X Trio 2080Ti and an EVGA XC2 Ultra Gaming and they are great. You have to have space on the floor of your case for it, but if you do, it works well.
My last system build was all about Corsair and RGB (well, performance first) since I thought it would be fun to play with the RGB, monitor everything from one place, etc., but I had the same issues with the software. I uninstalled it, tried a later version, same problems so I uninstalled and...
Since updating to the latest driver every time I turn my TV on the display flickers (more like random flashes of other parts of the screen). Unplugging and replugging the cable solves the issue, but then I have to rename the input. I am using a Zeskit 8K cable that has served me well up until...
I am building a new PC for my nephew. His budget is around $1,000 and I have him in a 9700k with z390, but am debating moving him to 10700k and z490. I believe LGA1200 is dead after this generation, but am not certain. I am going to lend him my 2080ti and sell it to him for $400 if he cannot get...
I have not run an FPS counter yet, but running 4K Ultra or high if that is the highest setting, but no psycho settings, motion blur off on LG 48CX with Ray Tracing and DLSS Quality with 9900KS and 3080, it runs smoothly. For fun I turned DLSS off and it was rough. I would guess 20-30 FPS range...
I use an Arozzi Arena Gaming Desk that I got for under $300 on Massdrop. It is plenty big and holds everything, but when I bump the front of it, there is more movement than I like. It does not feel unstable or in danger of failing, just wobbles.
I ran my CX48 with a 9900KS and 2080Ti for a couple of weeks before I got my 3080. It was great. I only game on it and only noticed some subsampling in SWTOR. It ran everything I played on it just fine. I am not sure about Costco, I got mine from Amazon.
I have had this set for awhile using a 2080ti and a 3080 and really enjoy it. I did update the firmware to the one released on the Korean site and while it did resolve the stutter issue, I really did not notice it much before, but that may be because I am not the sensitive to it. You will really...
I do not doubt there are issues, but I have not noticed any and really enjoy the display. I do however get an incompatible format message on the display occasionally and have to reboot it. Any thoughts on a fix for that?
How are you all connecting your 3080s (or maybe any cards) to receivers for audio? Since I got my TV and 3080 I have had my GPU connected to my TV via HDMI and to my receiver via a DisplayPort to HDMI cable. Last night my card only automatically switched to 4K/60Hz and after rebooting the PC now...
I have the same card in my O11 Dynamic. I have intake fans running too slowly because I hate iCue and my card maxes out in the mid 70s after two hours or so at 4k. I really like the O11 and it is much less than that Asus you linked. It does not come with fans though.
It is not something I have noticed. I tweaked some picture settings, but overall it is not a problem. I only use my PC at home for gaming and web browsing so I am not on it more than an hour or two during the week and maybe 4-5 hours on the weekends. Were I using it more frequently or serious...
I did and I would do it again in a minute. The Alienware is a great monitor. I am enjoying 4k and am still working through HDR settings, but even if I do not use it, it is nice to have it available and as I dial in the settings, I am liking it more and more. My 2080ti ran everything I threw it...
