It is actually a Poker II with MX Browns and white backlighting (a MassDrop exclusive, if I recall) which I swapped into a TEX 60% aluminum case! With the new aluminum case, it is amazing and feels solid - before this, I came from a series of Corsair mech keyboards and just had too many problems...
No. They are discontinued. I have an RMA request pending as I want to replace the burnt out LEDs on my gunmetal K70-Br, but the support tech flat out told me they stopped making the gunmetals:
Unfortunately, my entire setup is brushed aluminum and the black anodized model simply doesn't fit...
Finally got time to build the second one out, fix the issues with the first one (fun fact - old VIBs will drive the kernel crazy) and cleaned-up/shortened the cables! Overall, this whole setup is pulling just over 120 watts and is almost inaudible.
High-Res pics here...
There is definitely enough room to swap in a CWC with a single fan configuration, and apparently, with enough ingenuity and self-hatred/perseverance, you can fit an entire water cooling loop!
Here's my lil' vSphere 5.5 lab that I'm using to study for my VCDX
- Synology DS412+ w/ Western Digital Red 4TBs in a RAID10
- HP ProCurve 1810-24G
- Shuttle SZ87R6 (x2 - parts ordered for number two, will probably go for a 3rd once vSAN GAs)
-- i7-4770
-- 32GB DDR3
-- Intel Pro/1000 PT Dual...

New house with a new office and a few new goodies for my desk. Now, with a floating monitor (Ergotron MX) and new keyboard/mouse combo!
Link to entire album if anyone is interested here with higher-res photos
Windows 7 and 8.1 recognize it as Display iSight under Imaging Devices as it does other cams but there is a duplicate item (also named Display iSight) that always appears under Other Devices. I've never had problems using the iSight with gChat or Skype.
It means you have to have, at a minimum, an Essentials license for the host as that opens up the APIs allowing for the UPS to works its magic; the Free license is completely locked down so it will not work with the UPS.
As for ESXi 5.5, so far both VMware nor APC haven't mentioned support for...
Thought it might be worth bringing to your attention the new Asus X79 WS board, Vega. Looks like it'll support up to 4-way SLI at PCIe3x16. If I recall, you are forcing the R4E to run with PCIe3x8 across the 4 Titans. Might make it breath a lil' more?!
Not to be a debby-downer, but they don't exist. I have a feeling If they did, there would be a massive thread like those for the Catleap 2B and Auria for you to browse through.
Telling you to do your research isn't rude. It requires going back 5 pages with a bit of quick reading in between. Heck, the creator of Brightness control posted an update on THIS page.
Seriously. As three4seven said, do your research and quit relying on everyone to hand feed you answers.
-How do I hook it up?
-How do I make it work?
-How do I turn it off?
-Brightness controller?
-How do I adjust the color?
Really? Did you read nothing in the thread?
Finally got the new work/playstation together last weekend. Picked up the Cinema Display locally for $650 with 2 years left on the warranty.
Definitely need to take some better pictures.
We're getting all compound-quoted up in here.
Basically everything you said Fark, and thank you: H100 fits but looks horrible, and just kind of lays atop the 180s, and both the Antec 920 and Corsair H80 actually perform worse when used in an exhaust configuration. Unless someone makes a 180mm...
Finally got the new work/playstation together this weekend. The ACD27" looks excellent with the SilverStone FT02-S case! Will take better pictures next weekend!
A huge thanks to gensplejs for the Brightness Controller. Makes this whole new setup an absolute dream.
Just finished my build and I absolutely love this case. Need to get some better pictures this weekend though!
It should be mentioned, for anyone doing a similar setup using a R4E and a Phantek PH-TC14PE that the first PCIe slot will put your graphics card RIGHT up next to the metal fan...
Goldbranch, I believe the Droc was looking for a 27" high-res monitor for his setup. The one you posted is a 1080p TN which isn't exactly what's being sought.
Droc, some other 27" monitors which have great reviews are: Apple Cinema Display 27", HP ZR2740w, Dell U2711, and, as HV43082 pointed...
I used a few of their products at work/for clients (FS for my workstation; Drobo B800i for VM snapshots at a client) and they are excellent; easy to setup, incredibly bullet proof, and support is great. If you have the finances and/or take data integrity serious, pick up a Drobo (or a EMC...
Did you even try to google your question before posting? Drobo has a whole support/KB for these kind of inquiries. Just make sure you are using the most recent release of the Dashboard and firmware.
Correct, Suiken. At best, on a consumer level, you can use daisy chain up to 6 Apple Thunderbolt Displays using one of their newer, high-end, thunderbolt-based systems. Here's some info on Thunderbolt. But, until ATI/nVidia adobt Thunderbolt into their graphics cards and monitors manufacturers...
It appears to be headed that way, but yes, I still used my FW800 port as a faster way of import pictures to my MBP for editing. Also, a few clients use theirs for external drives for time machine due to the faster speeds compared to USB 2.0. Thunderbolt devices just haven't caught up/become...
Why not just used the 27" imac as your display? Instructions. All the models you listed at 1080p which is vastly different than the panel used in the iMac.
Sounds like you need to look at a NAS solution your home office. One of my photographers has an older version of the LaCie 2big Network where it allows him to upload/store all of his pictures from his 'mass-import Windows box' which he then accesses on his MBP/iMac within the office to...
