    H50 Push/Pull as exhaust?

The radiator is so thin im not sure you need a full push pull setup unless its very restrictive to airflow... Also a tidbit to remember is when trying to keep dust down the case should have positive pressure to blow dust out of the cracks (just be sure to use filters on the intakes)... My...

    Heater cores out of favor?

LOL For my first venture into water cooling I did consider the old school approach of using a heater core but instead went with a pair of dual 80's (thick buggers).... I'm not completely sure but my thoughts are that most people just don't want to mess with fabrication beyond tightening screws...

    Engineering machine

for backup SSD drives are just awsome. From what i have been hearing on the interwebs is that when SSD drives fail, its normally the ability to write that fails and the drive is usually still readable... So a raid type setup may not be nessicery. As for storage, my take on it is to use external...

WC Kits? Are all of them useless?

I hope i can answer some of your questions... 1. A 30 gallon reservoir is really overkill, besides thats a lot of water to keep maintained. Water quality is everything, DI water is what i use with no "special" additives just a small strip of silver to kill microbes. The approach i used for my...

General Mod question for cables / wire

    Help with dust?

i have seen cases with 1/4" thick dust deposits....... and the only indication of dust was that the case felt a little heavier..... if you havn't already i would suggest fan filters and keeping positive air pressure inside the case to prevent dust from getting sucked in...

what order should i water cool

what order should i water cool

the pump does add a little heat. here is the thing many people assume that all of the pumps work is discharged as heat..... this simply isn't the case.... what actually happens is that a little heat is generated from things like friction in bearings (and some other sources) which only comes out...
