Does anybody else have any experience with the Xigmatek Loki? I have it cooling an i3 2100 and want to know if my temps are normal. I have the fan pushing up towards the top exhaust and it idles at around 43C.
Found these on craigslist. 2407wfp is $140 and 2408 is $170. My usage will include internet browsing, artwork and some light gaming. Is the input lag on the 2408 much more noticeable than on the 2407? Will it heavily affect gaming? I'm currently using a 2005fpw and don't notice any lag at all.
Lian Li. I'm currently using a PC-V354 micro ATX and the quality is top notch. It's a bit lacking in terms of cable management and other features though.
The premium cable is more durable because it has thicker plastic than the flimsier, inexpensive cable. There won't be any difference in audio quality however, just physical quality of the cable itself.
Would an external USB DAC like a Fubar solve problems involving DPC latency? I'm currently using my laptop's POS headphone jack for audio and the clipping is unbearable and I'm looking for an inexpensive solution (<$150) if possible.
This isn't helping either because you're assuming he has the same model as you.
OP, I have your model and it does use a proprietary cable to connect, so you probably won't be able to get a replacement unless you ask audioinsider again.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but Newegg lists an Asus DS sound card for $50.

The descriptions says that it uses the same chipset as some of Asus' more expensive cards, so i'm wondering why this is so cheap. It also says the...
Plasma can burn in if you all you watch is 4:3 unstretched. I have an aunt with a year old Samsung plasma and watches 4:3 and you can see the burned-in sides whenever my cousin plays video games.
I'll be using a pair of powered speakers, Swan 1080mkii to be specific. Do I just plug the red and white RCA plugs into the preouts in the back? What do I do with the jumpers in this case?
Hello. I recently found an old Pioneer VSX-9900s receiver lying around in the garage. It's about 16-18 years old and I want to use it with my audio set up. It only does stereo sound but has preouts in the back for center, sub, front, left and surround speakers. However, accompanying each preout...
Hi. Newegg has black friday specials on the Creative Fatal1ty headset. I'm wondering if it's good for the money. USB model is $35 and 3.5mm model is $30.
I'm wondering about sound quality and mic quality for the price. Price range is $25-40
I just checked and that Gateway laptop should have a headphone jack that doubles as an optical out. An adapter from Monoprice should allow you to get surround out of your laptop as long as you get have a receiver that has optical-in. However, there is no way to get 5.1 surround out of that...
The LED backlight isn't causing your contrast issue; the cheap panel is. If you want a brand with good image quality, get a Sony Vaio with LED backlighting.
There's no 3.0 setup in terms of audio, so you'll be doing 5.1 without the sub and two surround speakers.
I don't know of any game that has 3.0, so you'll have to select 5.1, but then you'll lose whatever's being sent to the surround speakers.
Hey everyone. I'm wondering about the Asus Xonar DX's quality. I've read some good things on this forum about this card and want to know if there are any other comparable cards in the $70-100 range. Uses will primarily be for gaming and music output to Swan D1080mkii and possibly output to home...
The speakers appear to be very durable and quite hefty at around 10lbs per speaker. These definitely won't be falling all over your desk or moving around. But don't be surprised when they break if you drop them while moving them.
The included RCA to 3.5mm cable is very thin and flimsy, but...
The speakers are great. I moved from Logitech x540s, so I'm losing out on the low end because of the lack of subwoofer, but mids are definitely much more prominent. Music sounds richer and fuller too. Well worth the $130 and look great on desks too.
