It's really a bummer. The nearest one carries a pretty large selection of Arduino products which I am always tempted to buy something and try and on the other side are the usual components section. One guy that works there is an electronic hobbyist too.
If this store closes I'll be stuck having...
I bought the 7970 DD that was on sale during black friday and read stories about the poor heat sink fan so I took it off to inspect and replace the thermal paste.
They were much more liberal with the amount of thermal goop used compared to that 7950.
And since I had the burning...
I totally forgot about this and I am disappointed on how it ended up with the San Francisco launches.
Over on reddit there is a thread going and someone has a video from their friend who located the one stuck in the tree.

I have been taking a number of classes here at CCSF and I have not gotten any emails through either of my .edu account or the initial email I registered with CCSF regarding this. :o
Luckily I have never used their computers on the campus, but that still doesn't help that I use their web4...
I have to admit that the last 5 or 6 years with ATT was pretty good, I did have to call in almost every year to have a guy come out with the cheery picker to clean up the mess that hangs on the telephone pole from corrosion from San Francisco weather to lines crossing each other but they were...
With the memory clock fixed and going back into "2d" mode again brings back the flickering problem on my 4870 1GB replacement when resizing a video player when the clocks switch between "2d" and "3d" mode. Never had this on my 4870 512MB before, guess it's really not that necessary to overclock...
I just have this feeling that if I had the non EE version, it would run fine. Gonna see if PNY could help in anyway or I'll just get a new mobo for him, and a new cpu while I'm at it.
Yeah the 9600GT is a PCI-E 2.0.
8600GT is a 1.0, but the 2.0 cards be backwards compatible with 1.0 slots. Both boards have no new bios updates since late 2007 and early 2008 but none of the updates were for anything else but new processor ids.
I'll start looking around to see if anyone has...
Yup, have both to set to boot from PCI-E VGA, no option to completely disable on board either.
I can pop back in the x1900xt, a spare 9600GT with a PCI-E 6 pin connector and they will display with no problems.
Oh here is something else to add, I have an 8600GT that has no PCI-E 6 pin connector...
Hi guys,
I picked up two PNY 9800GT EE VCG98GTEE1XEB from the Best Buy clearance yesterday for my siblings to upgrade from their current video cards, but I ran into a problem.
Swapping in the new 9800GT EE to upgrade over the ATI x1900xt in to my brother's rig that has a cheap-o ECS...
Just wondering has anyone else ordered from Amazon after Aug 26 and still waiting?
I contacted Amazon and I got a reply saying the new estimated delivery date is Oct 27th.
If this is true I'll be waiting 2 months for this case, I hate to cancel the order since I have $120 dollars in Amazon...
Long time lurker first time poster.
I missed out on the Amazon preorder so I ordered it while it's out of stock. After reading these posts with the dings and bad delivery and Redbeard saying a small % is effected I'm not worried. For the slot alignment issue, I'm wondering as someone else...
