that seems a little on your seq read and write
Here is mine on intel ich10R P8P67 Pro board:

well, if you do secure erase for your ssds, you will get 90% of the performance back.
first make a image of your system drive
then, breakup the raid configuration
and then, secure erase the drives.
finally setup raid and restore the image to your raid drive...
Well I felt sorry for you.
I have exact same drive in raid 0 as you. However, I have the P8P67 Pro board...
My drives still have the 2.02 firmware...never update to 2.06....
So far, I have no problem with them in raid.
I like them, it is over 1000MB/s read and nearly 500Mb/write....
If you...
Duel channel is better...
I will suggest either keep the 4GB of ram, or upgrade to 8GB of 2x Dual channel...
you will lose performance when you going from 4G dual channel to 6G single channel...
Yes, it is safe. As long as you keep the ram cool and don't exceed the spec voltage.
I have my ram overclock from 1600Mhz to 2133Mhz with 1.65v and 9-11-9-27 2T timing (the 2T timing for stability)...
Any of the DDR RAM will work:

as long as you don't overclock the ram, it should be fine.
however, take a look at this:
2400Mhz RAM without heatspreader:
http://www.kingmax.com/en_02_news_content.asp?sn=223
tRAS should be >="CAS" + "RAS to CAS Delay" + "RAS Precharge"
In your case your CAS = 8, RAS to CAS Delay = 8, RAS Precharge = 8 as well....the sum of all three = 24 which is your tRAS...
the tRAS should never be less than the sum of the other three timing....
Well, as rule of thumb - "DONT MIX MEMORY, UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO".
Mix memory may give you headache....
The new memory may not run at the lower latency...it will match the slower latency...
You be better to get the same one as you have right now.
how about relaxing the ram timing and run it at 1.55v...
that should do the job...
and that is how I found my max ram speed with the relaxing timing...
XMS3 DDR3-1600 7-8-7-20 2T 1.65 manufacture spec...
I am running it at DDR3-2133 9-11-9-28 1T with 1.65v
My ram also works in DDR3-1866...
For me, I will just use the VGA RAM heatsink to cool the memory, that I ordered through ebay...
it should do the job...
so far I ran my Overclock RAM at 2133Mhz (from 1600Mhz) with 1.65v for a days at 2d mode without stressing it...
I ran memtest86+ 4.2 for about 2 hours without any error...
I have the Corsair XMS3 4G DDR3-1600 7-8-7-20 2T 1.65v.
Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL7 DIMM
I put 2 of them in Dual Channel mode...
Right now I am running them at DDR3-2133 speed with 9-11-9-28 1T timing with 1.65v
You won't see a difference with more ram in games...
However, if you are doing some video editing or photoshoping...then more ram is better....
for me 8G is good enough for me to do little video and photoshop.
What is your timing for the Vengeance?
I was getting that pair, but it did not work well on my sytem...
therefore, I changed to this one.
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145327
I brought 2 of this. I ran them at 2133Mhz with timing 9-11-9-28 1T...
Thank you very much guys....
I haven't been back to this forum for like 2+ weeks already...(working up north, no internet..)
Just back for like 3 days...
I have testing couple other settings...
DDR3-1866 9-9-9-24 2T with 1.55V
DDR3-2133 9-11-9-28 1T with 1.65V
I found...
I was using their 4G Reaper DDR2-8500 memory kit (2x2G) for the last 4 years. I love their memory. it works right out of the box 0 problems.
Until, I sold my Intel Core 2 Quad 9550, Asus P5Q Deluxe and 2 of that memory kit together couple weeks ago.
Thanks OCZ, I missed you...but I am looking...
A simple googling will find you everything you need.

Have a nice day!!
I am using 2 of the Corsair XMS3 4G DDR3-1600 in Dual Channel mode.
curring running 7-8-7-20 2T at 1600mhz
it can do 8-8-8-24 1T at 1600mhz
0 problem so far.
Have a nice day!
I am using the Corsair XMS3 4G DDR3-1600

I have 2 of that in dual channel mode.
Is 7-8-7-20 2T timing...
Well, after a night of battle. i found the source of why my computer freeze problem. It was Asus AI Suite II.
Even though it prime stable, but it will freeze just after i let it to idle for as quick as couple minutes.
After removing that program, problem solved.
Right now runing @ 4.7Ghz with...
it seems to me my Asus P8P67 Pro with 1003 BIOS has issue with the A2 and B2 channels.
When i put my Corsair 8G (4Gx2) in the black slot it works fine. However, when i put it in the blue slot. Windows will freeze at ramdom..
This is the memory that I use:
Corsair XMS3 C7 7-8-7-20 2T
Also, I...
Me 2 @ 5Ghz!!!!
Set it with Asus AI Suite Turbo V....
1.42v Vcore
102 FSB
49 Multi
Highest temp is 75 degree C Prime 95 64bit stable for an hour.
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1605921
However, for 24/7 use 4.8Ghz with 1.35v Vcore is good enough for me.
4.8Ghz with 1.344v Vcore
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1604537
Tried couple time of 5.0Ghz with either 1.40v or 1.41v not stable with prime95 64bit.
gonna try 1.42v tomorrow...
As for 24/7 4.8Ghz with 1.344v Vcore is good enough for me.
Ok, thank you very much guys...
Here is what I am ordering.
1. 2600K
2. p8p67 pro
3. Corsair XMS3 8GB (4 x2 )
4. Corsair Hydro H70
later on I will get a GTX 580...will use the HD5850 for now....
How much performance gain will I see if I upgrade to a core i7 2600k?
I am trying to decide whether or not upgrade to core i7 2600K...
I currently have a Q9550 @ 3.6Ghz.
Spec:
Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 3.6Ghz
8G OCZ Reaper series PC-8500 (4x2) (1:1)
Asus P5Q deluxe
Asus Xonar D2X
AMD HD5850 1G
OCZ...
I have 2 60G Vertex in Raid 0 system drive.
Also I have 8G DDR2 RAM on my P5Q...
I just set my page file size to 2048MB static size and leave it...
I have yet encounter any problem and the performance is better with it on too...
ComputerManiac
Like all SSD you should disable the drive indexing option...
Right click on the drive and select properties. uncheck the second option "allow the file one this drive...."
also move the page file to another drive....if you have more than 6G of RAM you can set the page file to like 2G...
