Replacing the fan is pretty simple. And, it makes a HUGE difference in the noise level.

I've just been using pure distilled water, and a silver plug in my Monsoon res. So far no buildup or clouding. I have drained it once just to clean it after about 6 months, and to make a couple of small changes. But, so far, so good.

I just picked up one like the top link, but with a desk stand. I also have the Dell 35", I have to put something under it because it keeps tilting forward it's so heavy. But, it's nice having my smaller one above it, and it holds a 27" with no issues.

I just got this one last week. So far I like it. Coming from a 60hz ultra-wide. Does seam smoother in FC5, and Origins. Still kinda playing around with the settings to get a good picture without the bloom. I see it a little on startup, but don't really notice it once it has a picture on it.

I had the same card do the same thing to me just as I got it. Didn't even power up before I saw the smoke of death. They were good to work with on getting it swapped out.

Luckily I didn't lose that much. I always pulled mine out as I could. There's been too many in the past where peoples wallets just go away.

Even using fast travel took a while. Fast travel to the Tempest->wait on load screen->run to the Tempest, and board -> wait forever on launch cut -> finally be able to do something. Makes you want to get a book during all that.

I have a couple behind my TV, and there's a plugin for Kodi to control them. Works pretty well.

I'm not sure if someone has posted it in here, I kinda skimmed most of it. ;) But, here's a nice shortcut to get back onto the ship while you're out in the world. Press, and hold "T" while you're in the Nomad. You will automatically leave the planet. No need to go all the way back to the ship...

They must have updated something then. From the chart I saw, you'd get the exact same frame rate either way. But, this was for 1080's, so that might make a difference.
