i had one of those nec crts! those were the days. beautiful monitor, in looks, and image quality.
yes.
those are all pretty good ideas on how to proceed imo.
if was me i would run the "time machine," a clean install is always is a good idea. at least, on pc's it is!
yeah i wonder about that too.
it's like people putting their horses ahead... lcds are pretty advanced already, oled is a new technology but something for the future.
i am about to buy a new card. i have to options, the geforce gtx 285 or radeon 4870 x2. my problem now is, the x2 heat problem, how bad is it? can i get a x2 and no problems. or do you guys think i should get the 285?
and it gets bigger and bigger. drivers each game has a different configuration, what if, 10000 games need each to be configured, thats nuts, the game maker should make the necessary modifications and not nvidia. imo...
i thought that the first crysis game was slow and the new had solved the problem. i guess people say too much sometimes. and you guys say even the god powerful next generation of the 300 series (nvidia) wont be able to handle the game? wow!!
you are going to college right? a laptop with a not that slow cpu (a dual core, pentium) and 4gbs and a 160gbs+ hd. upgrade later with a huge external hd. what more could you want?
a laptop is a lot better for college. use the desktop they have. i would sell everything get as much money as you can, and buy the most expensive laptop you can afford.
they have some nice + - $600, compaq laptops (full keyboard) at pricegrabber.com or newegg.com.
i agree with everybody saying that name is more important. but i didn't care, when i bought a $280.99 1050w psu for my system.
i got this: ENERMAX REVOLUTION85+ ERV1050EWT 1050W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active ... - Retail
Item #...
i dont like the windows 7 name either.
but what makes me angry is intel naming their new cpus "i7", they say there isn't a purpose for the "i7" word, now that is stupid.
yeah win7 looks alot like vista, but it has a better inside. they're supposed to have fixed the windows os for good. i hope so, or i'll be the 1st abandoning pc's. and getting an imac.
i think many people with old systems (not compatible with vista) are going to have hard time with win7. imo, it was their systems and not vista the problem.
