Controller for me, but my gaming is on the HTPC in the living room... couch or recliner always equals controller

I've had a variety of devices attached to that HDMI input without issue, and I've tried using the other HDMI input but the problem persists. I used the tv for about four years without the HTPC connected and it never had the same issue, and still does not except when displaying from the HTPC...

my only complaint is the companions still tend to gravitate toward conflict even when set to passive. its bad enough that lily will travel a mile away from me to attack anything, but all the companions walk directly toward enemies instead of following me when i need to retreat.
