Yeah did that still no go, when I remove the sn 580 then the samsung 870 will boot , remove the 870 then the 580 will boot...Even ran diskpart clean again on the 870 still no boot screen with both drives installed
Gave it another shot, all restores were after using diskpart clean
took windows 11 restored to SN580 ,
Windows 10 restored to Samsung 870
I had samsun 850 evo that had windows 10 on it ...used diskpart to wipe it.
After that computer would boot, not even to the boot screen....once I removed...
Thanks for the help, I tried it and had to do a start up repair..booted buy had recycle bin corrupt messages that I was unable to fix, so went back to the way it was
I guess fresh installs would be about the only to do this
Thanks again
What I got is Windows 11 on a Samsung 870 evo
Windows 10 on WD Blue SN580
I wonder if I can use Macrium Reflect backup of each OS and restore Win 11 on WD SN580
and win 10 on the samsung 870 and still be able to pick which OS to boot to during boot?
thanks
I got a old Dell 1525 with T8300 , but seems like one of the windows 10 update slowed the thing down
Been looking around online at newer laptops but I know nothing about any of these.
I want something that is a step up from the dell that can run Win 10 or 11 without issue.
Not a gamer at all so...
I noticed that I have like 57 updates for Apps, most of them I haven't a clue what they are....Is it normal to keep all these apps up to date or just mainly system updates?
I have a Pixel 7 and I can not get bluetooth to work..When I try to connect to desktop both desktop and phone shows same pin code but fails to connect, same inside my truck

I remove one of the internal SSD's and connected the SSD with Mint...I used diskpart to clean, I created a partition with mintool
No errors computer boots into Windows with the clean...
I installed Windows 10 without any other drive installed, I installed windows 11 without any other drive installed
I installed Mint without any other drive installed other than the USB that Mink was on
Maybe I found the issue, I have Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB with windows 10 installed, the ssd with linux mint is Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB
Unhook the 500GB and the 120GB runs fine. I didn't know you couldn't run two drives with the same name even if their size is different
gigabyte z590 ud ac
32GB Corsair
6500XT video
Evga 750GQ PSU
External drive case has its own power and they are sata

the ssd with Mint will only boot with all other drives removed
will try and explain this best as possible...
My Motherboard is gigabyte z590 ud ac Been thinking of buying a Samsung 980 Pro Gen 4 but not sure if my board supports it at full speed
And having other SATA SSD's slow down the 980? These NVMe drives are new to me never mess with any
If I run lunux that is already installed on a eSATA drive wll it mess with my two Windows (WIn 10 & Win 11) that is on two other SSD's. I don't want to screw up those Windows drives
thanks
After trying to figure out what was going with my drives

Bad motherboard only thing I can...
Yeah on mine it was both power connection point on the board, edges was razor sharp. I thought my PSU cable were maybe bad because it was very hard to make the connection.
I tried the cables (from psu) on another board and easily plugged in....I'm not calling the newer boards junk
It's been a while since I thrown together a desktop system, and how things have changed.
examples....fan not spinning on video card (thought card was bad) card was fine, fan turns on when needed
flashing leds on memory sticks
One bad thing to me was how the quality of motherboard ( or least...
