Thanks for all the quick replies. I'm going to give it a go in Audacity really quick.
Some what later . . .
Audacity worked. Piece of cake once I knew where to look.
Thanks again for everyone's quick ideas. I knew I came to the right place!
BTW, it is in fact a recording that I made...
I have a recording I need to play faster and then burn that faster version to a disc. It needs to go from 2:45 to 2:20. I already have the recording as a file. If it changes the pitch a little, that doesn't really matter.
Freeware or shareware solutions please. I need to fix this problem in...

Same here. I got over bleeding edge tech once I came to my senses and realized what was bleeding was money out of my wallet. I'll wait 18 months and get a chip that gives me 90% of the performance at one quarter or less of the opening price.
Not any way you want. The pump must be gravity fed by the rad/res if you are running only the pump in the unit. In some orientations, the pump will work but the reservoir function will not. If you had a second pump in the loop that fed the MCR drive, you could put it in which ever way you...
Yup, budget is everything. But don't get a quad to "future proof" anything; in my experience there is no such thing. Upgrade because the new part gets you something you want now, not for the future.
To cool all of that effectively, you should add at least another double rad, whether it's in the same loop or a separate loop. If you have the space to make it work, I'd go with a triple rad in it's own loop with the GPUs and leave your current loop as is.
I agree that a DIY HD enclosure is the way to go. Just make sure you get one that has USB 2.0 and eSATA; it will give you a lot more flexibility. Also, check for what type of controller it has if you think you might need a drive above 1 TB. Most of the controllers out there right now don't...
You don't "have to" but it would be silly not to. Forgive me if I don't think you can't come up with another $50-$60 for a 6GB triple channel kit when you're building an i7/x58 system. Your budget can't be that tight.
Edit: And yes, 64 bit! :)
OEM Windows OS's are matched to the motherboard, not the hard drive. I've swapped out system drives with OEM copies of XP, Vista, and Win7 without issue, using new installations and activating online.
