I was on notify for EVGA website and Newegg. I was never quick enough to catch one so now I'll be perfectly happy running the ASUS. They're a quality company and I have no problem buying their products.

Newegg has prepped and issued a tracking number for the ASUS pre-order I placed on the first day of sales. I had planned on canceling the ASUS if I could snag an EVGA card, but I always missed the short windows of opportunity. Hopefully I never need to test the ASUS warrantee process.

Talking to me? I would buy EVGA if they were both in stock and the same price, but I pre-ordered the ASUS because it was possible and EVGA was notify only. I've bought EVGA video cars before, but I have also bought a lot of ASUS motherboards and I have a lot of respect for their products.

Just when I convinced myself that the SSD was not the problem, I haven't had any system freezes since I applied the firmware update, applied the Magician suggested OS changes, and switched to AHCI. Knock on wood.

Done - thanks. I applied the firmware update with Magician. The next time I get a system hang I'm going to start looking for the problem somewhere else.
