Do you feel confident in the (stand behind) Nforce chip?

Am running with the SAS controller on the P6TD everything is good but would love to have room for an 8X card (two if I could) and 2 video, does it seem plausible with this board?

Quick question: “With a smaller heat sink on the Northbridge are you noticing much difference in heat to the P6TD?”

ASUS shined on the P6T D and other boards as well, (had to disable their wifi crap to get my other boards working but never bought those boards for that reason) sounds like they just expected the Nforce chip to work.

Took me a wile to think about it and for Intel to put it on their mobo’s speaks volumes. Wonder if game makers will only need to write code for the hydra chip since it controls the GPU’s, either way can hear Nvidia squealing like a little piggy: “Wee wee PHYSICS wee wee!”:eek::D

Heh, sounds more like something Nvidia/ATI needs to put on there multi GPU cards and wile there at it make a mobo with a 32 PCIe 2.0 slot.;):D

Had a few “What the Hell’s” with sound blaster cards myself.

Try running the card on a different power rail, preferably one that has no other devices connected to it.

Think the 8800GT’s are PCI Express 2.0 and should work with this motherboard, try disabling onboard sound in the bios and see if it boots.

In the bios cant you allocate buss rates? The raid cards are 8X so one would need to set it at 16-8-8. The first slot is 4X and to put a raid card (8X) there is just asking for trouble.
