well..
got my hands on SG05 today, going to get a 2nd one for my other system
#1 = main system : I5 3570K, 16GB, ASROCK Z77e ect...
#2 = storage rig : E350 mobo , 4GB , 1U SFX psu
when i opened the case found that the top plate (slim-dvd + hdd) has 4 holes but there are also 4 holes in a...
i'm planing on changing my current build (also my main pc) runing a RAID5 using PERC 5/i with 4*1TB
to a itx build with E350 mobo with 4GB ram (have the board) using this case
http://www.u-nas.com/product/nsc800.html
but i am confused on how to run it (what OS)
the data is static...
DAME.....................................
lord, i declare you the "king" of H forum with the biggest e-penis of them all...
while it's isn't your rig, still it's 1.5 PETA!!!
i can't stop drooling
well, i think i might hate this board now... a pain in the ass finding a cooler
bought a ANTEC 620 water cooler last night, ran if for few hours and the pump noise drove me mad, not loud but somehow just annoying
i have located a AXP140 but as it turns out its too tall for the elite 120...
right now i have the CM elite 120 case and the ASROCK mobo
but lack a good cooler, and started to think if the antec 620 will be a good solution
it's small and cheap
while i know i'll have to mod the case... i'll do it
but for the most important part
will the ANTEC 620 fit the ASROCK...
is the AXP that fits the Z77e uses this bracket?
want to make sure if there is no other revision

what would a man do for his collection...
a FLEX full solution is 60$ ain't cheap for a student
but i might "see" another solution, need some opinion on it
SNAPraid is a "perfect" solution except it has no data pool (it has GUI using...
the only downside for snapraid is that there is no data pool
flex was once my choise and then the dev made it into pay software, don't say he didn't have the right to do so, but still i prefer free open solution
i moved for my RAID 5 via DELL PERC 5/i to a software solution called SnapRAID
a snapshot raid that i do once a week for my video collection
the downside is that it doesn't have a data pool option
the new WIN8 came up with Storage Spaces
does any one used it? and can tell how good or bad...
Does anyone use liquesce as a data pool solution.
If you use it, tell me some info and experience with it
If not, do you know other solution for windows?
http://liquesce.codeplex.com/
i don't say he doesn't have the right, i'm just saying that even if was going to pay some money for a good software (i do pay for good stuff) it wouldn't be that much that he asked
anyway, to this issue (mine)
while snapraid solves the raid issue, i still want to use data pool (3*2TB hdd +...
i was going to run FlexRaid on my HTPC/NAS to make snapshot raid (no need for live raid...) but now i see the programmer changed it from free to $$$... not cheap
so, i'm looking for another way to do 2 things
1. create data pool from several hdds
2. create a snapshot raid (most likely i'll...
before i finish my build (E350 + 5*2TB) i need to decide ( i know) on OS and redundancy plan
due to the fact that i really don't need live raid i decided to go on with snapshot raid that will be done once a week
my options right now are
SnapRAID -...
i'm building a small NAS/HTPC using :
PURE Fusion Mini E350 (IPC-E350M1)
5* samsung HD204UI 2TB
i bought a 250W seasonic PSU but the i remembered i have a 65W DC-DC psu taken from Gigabyte MIB T5140 and a 90W picopsu with a 80W brick
any chance on of them (more likly the picopsu)...
i have a small media server that stores my data, right now i'm upgrading it to a 4*2tb.
i was going to use FlexRaid for the new data array becouse i really don't need it to be a Realtime... snapshot will be just fine for movie files that i just store.
while i read about flexraid i found out...
