My sensitivity to ghosting on this screen seems very game dependent. I see a lot of it in PES 2014/2015 but it isn't noticeable at all in Witcher 3.

I've been playing it at 4k, mix of ultra and high settings and getting a stable 30 fps on a single 980. The game looks gorgeous on this display, especially at night. Turn on HBAO+ and the shadows/blacks are perfect.

In my opinion, if you are 100% dpi scaling, 4:2:2 text is noticeably worse than 4:4:4. 125% is tolerable. (I am on Windows 7).

Yeah, I tried a couple too but they were rather shitty. And others weren't compatible with my phone.

Is there any Android/iOS app that can control the monitor? (Just the power button).

Is the Smart LED option only available in the JU7100/7500? I don't recall seeing it in the JU6500 menus.

Mine does that when device type is DVI PC but not when it is PC.

Let me check again then tonight. It was definitely greyed out on 1207. If 1209 has enabled game mode in DVI PC, that would be amazing news.

UN40JU6500 + 1209 There is no difference between PC and DVI PC for me. Will post images once I get home. (Further corroborated by the fact that Game Mode is greyed out in both device type settinds).

Currently, I have Windows set to turn off my display after 15 mins in power settings. My old monitor used to go into standby almost immediately after that. Is there a similar setting for the JU6500? I did find the 'No Signal' turn off setting but the lowest I can set it to is 15 mins.

Ah, I hadn't realised there are multiple methods of measuring input lag and not one standardised method.

Input lag in pc mode is stated as 48ms for the JU6500. I've been using a U3011 for a few years, so input lag is not a big issue for me. I am just surprised that the difference form the JU7500 (36ms) is so large.

It might, but it will also have a much higher input lag. At input lag comparable to the Philips, the Samsung drops to 4:2:2 I believe.

Same here. Another main Samsung "advantage" is that I can actually buy one right now with warranty.

About 4:4:4 support, is it only an issue over HDMI connections and for televisions? I don't recall this coming up when I was buying my previous monitor. Is it a given that all PC monitors support 4:4:4 or maybe it isn't an issue at lower resolutions?

WorldExclusive, a couple of questions if you wouldn't mind. How easy is it to shift to game mode and back? Can you do this with the remote? When you shift to Game Mode and back to the normal mode, do you need to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in?
