WorldExclusive, you and others keep forgetting that the 6970 is not the top card in ATI's line up. They do not have to say how high, when someone like you tells them to jump. They will do things how they want and I doubt they will have trouble selling cards.

This is why price is a far better comparison, single gpu, double gpu and all that nonsense can be forgotten. Just look at the closest 2 cards price wise and compare.

Yes, I can look at fraps, disable crossfire then look at fraps again. Same scene and getting double the fps. I even decided to fire up risen just now and test it. Haven't done any great amount of testing but a quick check of fps showing 40 without crossfire and 90 with shows great scaling...

@vengeance Nope, not CoD4. I don't fraps every game but I recall oblivion being able to double my frame rate give or take. Going from 15 to 30fps was a big deal at the time. Also 95% or a 100% could be only a frame or so difference so a moot point. I am playing one right now which...

Okay, from personal experience I can say I have experienced 100% scaling in some games, some of them from a few years ago.

The 6970 is not a crossfire card and yes, you can get 100% scaling with crossfire games permitting, have done for years. True most games won't but it is possible.

6990 maybe but I do not think you will find a single gpu card being that much faster.

Yeah they have only translated a couple of them at least I have only found two, "the last wish" and "the blood of the elves". What I hope but doubt for would be another excellent intro as that was the best I have ever seen really and it set the tone for the game.

It was also an interesting game because of the fact that it showed what could be done with the source engine. Talking main character, being able to see the rest of your body as well as other things. All the things valve didn't do in Hl2.

Considering that depends on the users hardware and preferred settings, I would hazard a guess at no and if it does exist, it would be useless for the above reasons.

Were we playing the same game? The game was fine without the "enhanced edition", the combat was fine, how could you not find your character any different after leveling up? Did you not notice the extra attacks or the better magic abilities? Did those just pass you by?

I hope they keep the combat the same style, was nice to see such good swordplay and magic easily combined.
