It's a retail Windows copy. They got a good deal on it, I think direct from Microsoft at some internal Microsoft store which is why it is the Ultimate and not just the professional version. Thanks for the recommendation on the software, I do have an old dvd burner I could move over, I was...
The psu is a corsair AX750 (the one cited in the pcpartpicker), I've had it for about a year now in my current computer.
I am buying an OEM Blu Ray player.
I already have Windows 7 Ultimate, it's what I'm using on my current machine. It was given to me as a gift a few years ago.
I wanted to get opinions on this pc build since I haven't built a new pc in 4.5 years. Any incompatibilities or issues with enough space since it is a SFF? It's around my typical budget of $1300, except I'm thinking of splurging for the m500 960gb.
1. What will you be doing with this PC...
I noticed the same, it was unclear at first to me whether or not the 770 included last light when I read the "660 or above" on Nvidia's website. After the second link I saw that it was only for the 600 series, but I never even saw the "not for the 700" series wording, it just seemed clear that...
Hoping this does come in at $400 as seems to be the prevailing rumor. Upgrading from a 570 and the 770 seems to be the sweet spot for price and performance. I'm assuming there will also be a 4gb version but not sure it will be worth it at 1920x1200.
The 7970 ghz is tempting with the game...
It's a good step for them to allow for non-proprietary motherboards. The flexibility and upgradeability was the main reason I moved to and SG01 instead. Do the new shuttles allow for flexiblity with the PSU? When I had my SN25P I had a couple power supplies die, they had either 30 or 90 day...
I agree with you, the the microatx cases just don't match the elegant design of the shuttles. I had the same thoughts when I purchased my SN25P in 2005. Just be aware that you will be stuck with some proprietary parts on future upgrades, and that any motherboard and psu upgrades have limited...
Thanks for the advice.
I'll probably stick with the P5E-VM HDMI mobo, from what I have read it sounds like a very solid board. When I was looking at the P5Q-EM thread it looked like people were having a lot of problems.
Maybe I'll get this 500W PSU instead. It's a short cable power supply...
So my SN25P died and it's time for a new computer.
I really liked the shuttle but I'm tired of being stuck with proprietary parts, and the shuttle warranty is only 30 days for new parts (like a PSU). I want to stick with an sff system, but I'm going to move to a Sugo.
1) What will you be...
I have had a shuttle SN25P since 2005. I really liked the size and look of the shuttle, and for such a small box I could put pretty much anything I needed in there.
If more companies were using that form factor it would be perfect. But being tied to one proprietary manufacturer is an issue...
When you say SG02B, you mean SG02B-F right? The F revision fits longer graphics cards I think.
Looks similar to the build I will be doing very soon, since my SN25P just died.
They will refund you the difference within 30 days of the purchase date.

Does anyone have any experience with the Bgears B-Envi case? I've read a lot of reviews, they all seem pretty positive about the case. I did a search, but it doesn't seem like it has been talked about much here. Here it is at newegg.
