I'm using the Eye-One Display 2 (i1Match v3.6.2) in Vista x64 with dual monitor display without any problems. One point I should make is that there may be executables or services in your startup, e.g. adobe gamma, video card .exe's, etc, that might overwrite the LUT - I had to manually disable...
The color profile will extend to most all windows applications with the exception of a few apps such as some games where, for example, you can adjust the gamma independently.
I understand applications that are "color aware" to mean that it will take into account the windows color profile and...
I've gone through three 2709W's and they all have this pattern of non-uniformity with pink and green tint. Below is an underexposed picture of my current 2709W A01. (Monitor is at 0 brightness)

You can probably remove some of that tint with a calibrator but not completely. I think this problem is inherent to VA panels. Even after hardware calibration, my monitor still lacks uniformity when displaying white backgrounds, although not as bad as when i tried to calibrate by eye. The reason...
Here's the ICC profile for all who are interested:

Your settings should be:
Red: 96
Green: 93
Blue: 97
Brightness: 0
Hopefully, the A01 monitors don't vary all that much. However, use your judgement as to whether the profile makes the color better or worse. You can always...
Yup i'm using the newest i1Match v3.6.2 from xrite.com
Yup i returned the A00 within 21 days. I bought it a few weeks prior to the sale for $699 and they wouldn't refund the price difference so i was forced to do a return and repurchase. Now i'm glad i did.
The standard color setting is way too saturated. And when i turn the brightness to 0, i get some tint that i can't fix from adjusting the RGB alone.
My RGB settings for 6500k at 0 brightness are:
Red: 96
Green: 93
Blue: 97
I know monitors vary, however, if any of you would like...
My 2709w test results*:
-No dead or stuck pixels
-Little back light bleed at the sides and corners, more so than A00 (More apparent at extreme angles)
-Light fall-off at extreme corners on bright backgrounds.
-Less pink tint on both sides than A00... although, still detectable
-Touch...
2709W version A01 exists! I just received it. No dead or stuck pixels (I forgot to dust the screen so i thought i had a few bad pixels at first). The colors look pretty good right out of the box, but that is subjective. The pink tint on the left and right sides are much improved over the version...
I've seen the 2408 on sale for $599 about a month ago. I had both of the monitors at one point and decided on the 2709 because it had MUCH better text. With the new A01 revision for the 2408, however, you might get better input lag over the 2709.
I've mentioned it before but it's important to...
The input lag is imperceptible in normal desktop applications. You might however, feel a bit of lag when playing video games that involve quick responses.
For those of you looking to buy this monitor:
1. If you have good vision, you "might" notice the larger dot-pitch if you are closer...
I got my 2709W about a day ago and measured lag to be about 60ms average. There is a pinkish hue on both left and right sides of the monitor with the bottom right being the most noticeable.
Does anyone know how to access the service menu? The old "menu and +" doesn't work because of the...
