Does your AD server have itself listed as the DNS Server ?
It need to be able to resolve all the dc_RPC records, etc. which are present in the Domains DNS.
I have dual internet connections, a primary 50meg cable connection for all my home entertainment, kids internet ipads, etc.
And an 18Mbit Uverse connection for my lab, VPN, extranet connectivity. I policy route all the inbound primarily into my ASA, but the uverse connection also has an...
7 months on the [H] and policing other people's posts ?
/chuckle..
To the OP, i personally think they're overpriced. buy the Jawbone, or if you can find a toucan, they're pretty decent.
The large Jawbone is on WOOT today for like $179. and it's awesome.
with iRules on F5 you can do this quite easily.
It's as simple as intercepting the inbound HTTP, parsing out the command, and reformatting it to have whatever values you need.
(assuming the API call is consistent.)
You might spend some time over on the F5 forums, and look into irules...
If you don't have a public IP, you won't have much luck for an inbound tunnel, obviously.
If you could RDP to a jump box, from inside your network you could conceivably have a shot. The issue will be whether and what type of VPN your PATd home connection will allow outbound.
e.g. SSL vpn...
White-orange - orange, white-green - blue, white-blue, green, white-brown, brown - 568b Cat5 cable jack
Just match the colors up, and punch down. If you're making a cable, use the above code, into the connector, and crimp tool, to make a 568b cat 5 cable.
Of just google (568a / 568b cable...
Use DiskMakerX
http://arstechnica.com/apple/2013/10/how-to-make-your-own-bootable-os-x-10-9-mavericks-usb-install-drive/
Also, all you have to do is hold down the Option key while booting and you'll be able to restore over WiFi.
Will take a while but doable.
Just use NAT mode, and break out that second segment as a pure L2 segment. Unless you need to route between them within the P_Host ?
e.g. Let your 192.168.1.0/24 subnet be the egress for Internet, and run that VLAN in NAT mode.
Then take your 192.168.10.1 segment, leave it as Host...
Not really, but it depends on what you're trying to solve.
First, it's actually 2 - boxes in one. The WLAN is a pure layer 2 device, so it's just switching frames from the WLAN (WiFi) down to a switchport, to route it out to the web, and back to your wireless host.
Some basic steps you...
You can PM me offline with specific questions, or I can try to address inline.
If the gateway / edge device support trunking, you could create an 802.1q trunk line between the edge device, and whatever switch you want to use.
Think of a trunk like you'd think of one of those Bar soda wand...
the whole crypto currency subculture is absurd.
There exists a current (key in on that term, "current") finite mathematical probability of "x" amount of
values being derived in "y" amount of cycles...
thus, the measure of relative value, of the "coin", is derived from the relative...

i agree, tons of slim, light Win8 notebooks out there.
It's sad so many comparisons of Win vs. OSx ignore that most slim, light, magnesium or aluminum ultra books are within 10-15% cost of an i-product.
I dig the Yoga, and even the Asus product. I just happened to have a gift card I won...

Will you commission pieces for a fee ?
My wife commissioned an oil on wood Mermaid back in 2008 and the girl fell off the map.
We got the piece, but we can't find her to order additional pieces, etc.
Just curious if you were into commissioning work.
Road sign is pretty easy but way cliche.
have you considered play on the initials ? SDH ?
Or a play on the Compass ? like "down arrow" DH...
also, Tattoo artists can do amazing things with ideas like this.
It might cost you a $100, but most Artists are willing to do stock sketches of ideas...
After almost 7 months with my non Retina MBP I'm really glad actually that I didn't get the retina.
1.) the stuff isn't soldered to the board so I was able to upgrade it to 16gb ram for almost nothing.
2.) I didn't want the optical drive anyway, so i used the extra space to install the...
I noticed you're relatively new to Mac, so I wanted to offer some other suggestions.
If you already have it bootcamped, and at any point you wanna start to play with Mac OsX, you can install VMWare fusion on it, and import your BootCamp partition as a VM.
That way, you can access the Windows...
I'm stealing the idea for the QR code / Guest WLAN access.
Although at home I have a VM instance of Cisco ISE that I let people self provision / onboard thru. This is clever enough that it's pretty cool.
Little Snitch on the Mac will tell you where connections are being sent.
If the Malware is sending C&C data to a compromised host, you'll be able to identify it via LS...
I recommend running Little Snitch on any Mac in a corporate environment.
I have to agree on applecare.
But, I have an imac and almost never need the optical. It's also one of the first components to fail usually.
Have you considered investing in a good cloud service like Box.com or something and going media-less ?

Fusion 4 or 6 for virtualization.
Oh and a little known secret to new users, if you can locate the demo's for ilife 09 and iwork 09, you can update them to full versions via the app store.
You get stuff like garageband, i photo, etc. for free.
something to consider.
Yes you can run another non Mac Os on it, since it's all commodity intel stuff now.
2nd, Mac Book Pro got the highest rating for Windows 8 user experience and stability...

I play AOE, and Skyrim on my bootcamp Partition on my MBP late 2012, w/ 16GB ram.
It's usable. If I throw it up on my 27, i have to lower the settings to reduce the stutter.
This is so true. Some of us have been very active in the community but don't feel compelled to spam away into the threads...
There should be a tertiary credibility "check" besides post count.
I'm sure however, that it's helped minimize the scams and ripoffs.
SMB doesn't handle TCP ack in the file copy stream with large frame sizes very well.
Copying 50GB is going to take time.
just download filezilla and do it over FTP, which on the same lan will yield about a 500% improvement in file copy speed.
You can also try making sure your NIC, and...
I agree with the first reply.
First, realize the lifecycle of each of the components.
RAM, Drives, and CPU are going to probably last the life of the system. While the GPU will likely be something you'll be swapping out at some point.
Go with an SSD boot and 3 x 2TB SATA drives in Raid-5 for...
The article missed the true historical significance (and irony, actually) of what C-A-D was actually retained for.
In the earlier Windows Kernels (post DOS 6.2 days), and specifically in Windows NT 4.0 , the C-A-D key sequence would actually terminate any memory resident apps, without...
