Old topic, but i just wanted to let people know that with todays new Nvidia driver (417.71) that enables Freesync for compatible monitors, 75Hz works without any frameskipping! It also seems to work just fine in the Freesync span LG lists for this monitor, which is 52-75Hz.
Appreciate it, i i have some stuff planned like an ITX build in the Phanteks Evolv Shift. It'll be fun fitting the 1080Ti in there... but if you want things to look pretty you have to work for it right?
I do love the speakers after almost a year of use, great setup you got there also!
How do...
So i just wanted to drop a little bit of info for anyne in the same boat. I've been using my 2015 Samsung UE48JU7505 (curved) since Summer 2016, and i figured i wanted to give the new models a chance. Went over to my local electronics store and came home with a Samsung 2017 UE40MU6195...
Sorry if this has been asked before, but sometimes when i turn on my TV (Samsung JU7500) the text in Windows have a red-ish hue/outline around them, like a shadow of sorts. If i turn the TV off and on it's back to normal and text isn't weird anymore.
100% scale in WIndows and no other changes...
Let me guess, you have Shadowplay or some type of overlay running and when you crash and restart GTA for the second time that overlay is now gone/off? At least that's what happened to me, either the Shadowplay portion of Geforce Experience or the Fps overlay caused my game to crash, and when i...
So i guess you're supposed to admit it when you're kind of wrong. :) After a lot of testing it seems that Shadowplay just loves when your GPU is working and not idling, which makes sense...That's why it worked perfect with SLI off, because one of my GTX 970s had to work it's ass off to deliver...
Did a lot more testing and i was finally able to find the culprit of the choppy framerate and it was sadly a lot simpler than i thought, SLI is the bad guy for choppy 60 fps video material. Most probably because of bigger differences in frame timing etc, i wonder if Nvidia can even fix something...
I just did some testing with my 1440p monitor and if i select in-game resolution and 60 fps through Shadowplay i end up with the correct fps and resolution, the video is also really smooth compared to the footage i record on my 21:9 monitor.
This is with a 970, i'm not sure how Kepler fares...
Anyone here experiencing stuttering while recording 60 fps 21:9-material via Shadowplay? It never drops below 60 fps in BF4 but the video Shadowplay produces is not as smooth as it could be.
If i switch to my 27" 2560x1440 monitor or my 27" 1920x1080 and record BF4 the result is buttery smooth...

Yes it is on high, and on high i even see that the cursor has a white outline around it that follows it, on medium it is gone but the delay is a little worse.
I'm not saying it is impossible to use or anything, it is just very noticeable compared to my previous monitor.
I also never watch...
I am not surprised the Dell crowd are happy with this monitor because those are famous for high input lag.

I just recieved mine and whille it is a cool monitor i have some issues.
It has noticeably higher inputlag than my Hazro...
I have a 27" Hazro 1440p and a LG 27" 1080p so i'll be sure to take a few pictures when mine arrives during next week. My LG 27" looks very similar to the UM95 so it should be a nice fit.
I was thinking people preferred quality over quantity, Apparently not.
Still can't see why anyone would pay for a monitor with a resolution higher than 1080p if you still need to turn graphical settings to low to maintain a higher FPS.
AgentQ : I hope no one buys 120Hz monitors soley "for...
True. It just seems to me the 120Hz-crowd are asking for something they would not be able to fully utilize, just having the specs say 120Hz means nothing if your PC isn't up to the task.
It would give a very noticeable bump - at 2560x1440 - which is some 30% easier to render than 3440x1440 so it would still not show an accurate picture at all.
I guess you're joking but i am genuinely interested.
Just for funs sake, with this setup
Intel Core i7-4960X @ 4,4 GHz
Asus Rampage IV Extreme
16 GB Corsair Vengeance, 1 866 MHz, 9-10-9-27
Nvidia Geforce GTX 780 Ti SLI
Which i would consider a pretty decent system..

These people wanting a 120hz monitor that runs at 3440x1440, what kind of computer are you planning to purchase to get 120 fps out of it? Or will you play with downscaled resolutions?
I am interested in this monitor and i will be more than happy if i get a steady 60fps at that resolution.
Been enjoying my Barbarian immensly since patch, i uploaded a vid few days ago of the "Obelix"-spec. It's a little more tuned currently but haven't made a new video. Don't miss the old WW-spec at all, and best of all - no rubberbanding/deaths which was connected to that spec...
The greatest part about the latest drivers, is that Shadowplay video doesn't seem to judder/lag and fee liked 30 fps like the previous driver - eventhough it said 60 fps - it's now alot smoother and actually feels like 60fps! Super-happy.
Yes. G-Sync is basically the ultimate fix for this, the 2nd best is the variable v-sync option in the control panel which disables Vsync below 60fps and activates it above.
The tabletops have been bought separetly, it's oak.
Legs on one table are Ikea Moliden (discontinued) and the other are just standard round steel legs.
I read the past few pages about recording, settings for Dxtory and the likes...I've been using Dxtory for the past year since it's way better than Fraps since i can scale it to 1080p (native-res at 2560x1440). Even Afterburner kicks Fraps ass these days, anyhoo...
Recording footage at the res i...
I'll get som 2560x1440 Ultra video footage up later, when recording with Dxtory it barely drops the game FPS and video FPS is locked to 30, love that program.
SLI seems to be troublesome for many, here's some help.
Use Nvidia Inspector, find Far Cry 3 profile, click Add application to current profile and add farcry3_d3d11.exe from Far Cry 3/Bin.
If you are experiencing problems with this then proceed with
Open the farcry 3 profile with inspector...
