How Old Is Too Young To Go Online?

My house, my rules. If I am paying for the service, until I say what age you are ready. You pay for the service, whenever you want. I didnt get a cellphone until I paid for it myself. I paid for my dialup after I bought my computer. Which was expensive...200mhz was fast at that time.

New App Uses Old Racer Trick For Cheaper Gas

I love flipping the switch on my 88 TurboCoupe Tbird. Premium Up or Regular Down. It'll run on both. It'll run like a bat out of hell on Premium, not so much on Regular...but it runs.

Senate Considers Federal Tax On Soda

You do realize that even though the Japanese do have a low obesity rate, compared to the good ole USA, they do have a higher than normal rate of Diabetes. It comes from their staple food, rice.

Poll Finds Do-Not-Call List is Working Well

Technically, the telemarketers are not supposed to call cellphones. They are not landlines. They can be fined up to 10K per phone number. So if they do call you cell phone, I would talk to a rep and calmly state that you need their name, supervisors name, and that you are going to report...

    ATI Radeon HD 4900 Rumors

I have a 4850x2 and have yet to have any problems. Both in XP pro and Win7 64-bit. ATi's drivers do not work for it, only Sapphire's will. Although the 4900's intrigues me, I will not be getting another Video card for a long time.

New F1 Season Heralds New Rules, Cars

reciprocating motors are just as inefficient as the rotary...i would like to see what the max rpm on the rotary would be though. those piston motors are hitting 16k rpm, there has to be a limit.

First Blu-ray/DVD Hybrid Movie Announced in Japan

I like the idea, I have yet to buy an HD player because my dvd player works just fine, but if I upgrade, I would like to have the HD version of the movie without having to buy the movie again. There are plenty of people like me, the ones that bought a new tv because their old one stopped...

What If Steve Jobs Ran Ford, GM or Dodge?

I also have no sympathy for the UAW, or any Union for that matter, they have bled the companies that they are supposed to have helped dry. If anyone thinks that the Big 3 would survive Chapter 11 is wrong. Yeah, they would be able to shed those unneeded contracts and whatnot, but when GM is...

What If Steve Jobs Ran Ford, GM or Dodge?

The Airlines/steel/railroad/etc. is a horrible example. When was the last time you spent 15K on a plane ticket? When was the last time you bought from the steel companies? When did you last ride Amtrak to get to work? I will say again, NO ONE will buy from a company that is bankrupt, it...

What If Steve Jobs Ran Ford, GM or Dodge?

That is true, GTO/G8 is a perfect example, even though they are from Australia. I like them, but I am one of a few. The other reason is because the Auto sectors like to make them look like abortions of their former selves. At least with the new Fusion and the Fiesta, they just bring them...

What If Steve Jobs Ran Ford, GM or Dodge?

GM declares bankruptcy, chapter 11, so they can reorganize and all that jazz. Considering they do not have enough money to make it till the end of the year, they would declare chapter 7, liquidate all their assests...goodbye Volt, they only plug-in I would buy until someone makes a better...

    Tesla Owned By The Tango

This is one of the reasons electric cars are not going to take hold. For 100K, I am expecting neck breaking performance. Or mind-blowing distance driving. I could easily get a car that was 13.5 sec out of the factory and spend a quarter of that. 87 GNX. And it looks better than the Tango...

I would like to see this employed as crowd control as well as a weapon of war. Reminds me of Akira when the police were using the lasers for crowd control, guy gets hit with it in the arm, and his arm falls off...talk about combat effectiveness, now nil. yeah, and the 5.56 round...yeah, if I...

Stringer Jokes That Sony Won’t Recover PS3 Investment

can't edit and i hit the wrong button..dammit.. but yeah, sony will continue to lose money on the PS3 if the BR player and PS3 are the same price. I would buy the PS3 just for the fact that if I wanted to play games on it, I could. But then again, I have yet to buy an HDTV and I still have...

Stringer Jokes That Sony Won’t Recover PS3 Investment

I have the Wii. I, for one, enjoy it. My wife, who has not played a console since NES, enjoys it. My parents, my dad hasn't played since Donkey Kong Country, mom since Tetris on gameboy, enjoy it. My grandparents, who have no gaming experience since Atari, enjoy it. Something about that...

    Consumers Still Not Buying Blu-ray

Honestly, I still have no need for an HDTV...all 3 of my Analog tvs work just fine. I have a really hard time trying to justify the expense. If one of my tvs stop working, then yeah, I'll fork out some dough to buy a really nice tv.
