Hi all,
I've been putting a new build together around the i7 6700k. I'm a bit confused as to what RAM is supported. DDR4 2133 is is what's listed but I'm not sure if that's:
The minimum RAM speed supported.
The only RAM speed supported.
The max RAM speed supported in single channel...
So over the last year or so I've started to come around to the idea of a standing workspace, but don't entirely like the idea of being locked into a standing desk for my full workday. Has anybody ever played around with an adjustable setup that allows for both standing work, and seated work?
I'm currently using a Razer Lycosa, but I'm experiencing all of the common problems for this keyboard (keys stop working, media buttons stick etc.). I really like this keyboard, but seeing as this is the third one that I've had that doesn't work right, I'm not looking to buy another.
What are...
I just picked up an hdmi -> dvi cable to use my monitor as an xbox display, but I forgot about audio. I have a 5.1 Acoustic Authority sound system that I want to use, but I'm not quite sure how to go from the red/white RCA xbox audio to the front/back input on my sound system. Does anybody have...
I'm trying to add my old Linksys WRT54g router to a friend's wireless access to boost signal strength/range in his house. He currently has a Netgear WGR614 running his network, which consists of a PC and Xbox 360 on a wired connection, and multiple laptops on the wireless.
How would I be...
I currently have a linksys WRT54G router and a Terrayon TJ 715x cable modem. The router serves both a wireless network, and a single pc and an xbox in the wired network. The performance is usually satisfactory, but there's a problem I've been having almost since I got this setup 2 years ago...
I recently moved my file server to my basement, and I get very poor/inconsistent signal strength on the wireless network. I was looking for advice on a good model of network extender to remedy this.
Has anybody had particularly good luck with a certain make/model?
I'm thinking about putting together my first wc loop (most likely just my q6600 and 4850) and I was wondering if this would be good enough:

My q6600 is oc'd to 3.0 and my 4850 is at stock.
The spec page doesn't really say how...
Hello [H]
I'm having a problem with a certain mom.exe. Now, I know there were disputes as to whether it is legitimate or not, but that's not my concern. I recently updated my 4850 drivers/CCC and mom.exe started to well, bug out. It constantly spawns a new instance of itself and...
I recently built a gaming rig in an Antec 1200, which is by no means SFF. Carrying this monster around is a giant pain in the ass, so I'm trying to find a good case strap for it. So far, the only one that I can find that would fit right is the Gear Grip G2, but it's pretty expensive...
I just ordered the parts for my new computer (most of them at least... damn bills D:), and I can't wait for everything to get here.
Specs:
Case: Antec Twelve Hundred
PSU: OCZ GamerXStream 700w
Mobo: Asus P5Q Pro
CPU: Intel Q6600 @ 2.44 GHz
RAM: G. Skill 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1000
Graphics...
Alright, so I'm building my new gaming rig, and I'm stuck at the graphics card. I want a 4850, but there's so many different makes! I kinda like the Visiontek model. Any thoughts on the matter?
As a bit of a sidenote, I don't really need a pre-overclocked card. I want to try my hand at...
I'm getting ready to build a new gaming rig, and I wanted to know which coolers the pros use.
The new machine is going to be a q6600 on a P5Q Pro, any suggestions? I know some coolers are too big for certain boards.
I'm getting ready to put together a new rig and I was hoping to reuse my old PSU, which is an Ultra 600w.
The new machine is gonna be:
Intel q6600
Asus P5Q Pro
Visiontek 4850
G. Skill 4GB (2x2GB)
WD 300GB hard drive
Sony DVD burner
Will 600w be enough? I know the newer GPUs can be...
I'm saving up for a new system right now, and I wanted to base it around the q6600 and a 4870 card (possibly VisionTek, as I hear their service and prices are great). I'm looking for a ddr2 board that has good overclocking capacity. The board I had been looking at is the Asus Rampage Formula...
I've been running an older machine for a while now, and I don't think it would be the best idea to upgrade to current tech with the nehelem (i7) and x58 chipset coming out. But, computers don't always agree with their owners, so mine insists on giving me constant data corruption errors, forcing...
