ATI 5850 flicker in PS CS4

Incredible, you are right and that's true (it works fine when enabling "rulers"). Now, how stupid can that be to force you to enable the rulers on every single photo you may be editing to be able to use GPU acceleration ... Thanks for the tip though !

ATI 5850 flicker in PS CS4

Well, I have a 4770 card and it's not working for me. As far as CS4 is concerned, it's not a problem with the new cards but with the driver. PS: 10.2 didn't fix it for me either...

ATI 5850 flicker in PS CS4

Well, I did that myself just after posting here, and provided the link to this conversation as information for them as well. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem, gonna try Catalyst 10.2 right now, although it seems that it won't help. I guess ATI is too busy working on...

ATI 5850 flicker in PS CS4

Well, at least not for me. I tried virtually every single setting of the drivers (including the Catalyst A.I.) before giving up and switching my screens...

ATI 5850 flicker in PS CS4

Ok, so basically I found a way to go around the problem. I still think ATI should get this sorted out in a hopefully soon_to_come driver release. After trying everything I could in terms of "driver cleaning and reinstalling", I simply gave up. Then decided to connect my main screen through...

    HP LP2475w (Possible new IPS)

The 2480 is a completely different beast from the 2475, one is a "regular S-IPS" panel, the other is to my knowledge the first "consumer" monitor being able to display 10-bit colours. Many have been arguing about its usefulness nowadays, since you also need a 10-bit colour output graphics...

    Which 24" monitor?

Obviously, I'm not buying mine thinking on gaming / plugging a PS3, otherwise I would take the Eizo. Besides, there are plenty of people buying those where they are available (just like Eizo's), and wishing they were available where they are not (Europe), because there are plenty of people...

    Which 24" monitor?

Well, unless I missed something, you didn't mention anything about the price... If price is a concern, I think you've been well advised, if not, I think you should have a look at the EIZO 2442W. There are still no European reviews, but I've been reading quite a lot about its Japanese version...

    HP LP2475w (Possible new IPS)

In fact, retailers in Sweden seem to be already selling them. Quoted price is between 730€ and 900€, and they have estimated delivery dates from 1st August. Given the fact that they are not actually shipping them as of now, it's difficult to know if that's the real price or if it will change...
