You didn't ready first post..
I've already cleared CMOS, tried to cold boot by removing the battery and several other things, also tried to remove all hardware not necessary for the system to boot and also tried with one stick of RAM, other RAM etc..
But still nothing.
I did just pick up my Asus Rampage II Extreme today, it's been lying in my closet for a few months and today I was taking it out to build a system for my girlfriend..
It's been lying dry and dust free in my closet for a couple of months, and the CPU and RAM hasn't been unmounted since I used...
I do see several recommending the NEC EA231WMi and HP ZR24W over the F2380M?
Here in Norway I could get the F2380M for about 315$, and both the NEC and HP goes for about 450-460$.
So if I'm going to buy 3x monitors, they would be a bit more expensive, and considering Digitalversus.com...
Hi,
I'm considering different monitors for my future thee-monitor nVIDIA Surround setup (no 3D!) when my 2x GTX480 arrives later this week.
I was looking at the Acer G245HQ 120Hz monitor, until I read all the dreadful feedback on it's 2D / desktop performance, giving users headaches and...
What does the EVGA X58 Classified offer that the other X58 motherboards doesn't?
I know it has this really kick-ass red / black look, and a awesome layout, and what must be one of the biggest (yet darn beautiful) north-bridge heatpipe..
But how come it will be sold at $400-450? Is really...
Well, the new Asus Rampage II Extreme 1104 BIOS update did completely mess up my Rampage II Extreme motherboard BIG-TIME!
No, it was not a bad flash, I have no idea what happened, re-flash / down-flash didn't resolve anything what's so ever, making my motherboard useless as stuff like RAID...
Hi,
I've got a really hard time figuring which of these five audio cards solutions I should go for:
1: Auzentech Prelude
2: Auzentech Forte
3: Wait for the Auzentech Home Theater HD
4: Asus Xonar D2X
5: Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 Deluxe
My Auzentech Prelude cards just got confirmed...
Actually it was fixed by adding a 4-pin adapter that followed with one of my Noctua fans, seems like the Corsair molex connectors are too short for some reason?
Hi,
I just installed my brand new Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 Deluxe audio card!
But after installing the latest drivers, it asks me to insert the 4-pin molex power cord to the back of the card, which I've done.. But upon every start-up of Windows it keeps claiming that the power is unplugged...
This "workstation" tag makes me *puke*!
What the hell is so workstation about this board if I may ask?
It goes the same cheap Asus controllers as almost all the other boards (they aren't superior compared with other brands either, expect for those who use crappy JMicron RAID controllers)...
I wonder how well MLC is doing when writing / reading several files at once?
My experiences with my 8GB Corsair Flash Voyager GT (SLC) and 16GB Corsair Flash Voyager GT (MLC) is that MLC really sucks when doing much at ones, copying one file goes okay, two fairly good, three or more.. SUCKS...
Hi,
I've just started putting together my new rigg, it consists of the Asus Rampage II Extreme (couldn't wait for the Foxconn BloodRage or DFI LanParty UT X58 any longer)
I'm going to run 3x VelociRaptor 150GB in RAID0 (was thinking about a Seagate Cheetah 15K.6 146GB on the BloodRage, but...
Just hijacking your thread for a split second here..
I've ordered myself a Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 Deluxe and a set of Creative Gigaworks S750 7.1 speakers, will I obtain the Dolby Digital Live / Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS(HD) Master Audio capabilities when running through the RCA / mini-jack...
As the hardware of the DX2 and the two new HDAV1.3 is more or less identical, besides the added HDMI and HD-codec features, is it possible to get this DS3D GX 2.0 for the D2X through a new driver or something?
After reading a review of the HDAV1.3 over at Elite Bastards it seems like the D2X...
Hi,
I'm about to order my new rig at work and then I was going to order myself a Asus Xonar D2X as it was supposed to be the best gaming / desktop sound card currently available!
But now I see that Asus has released some new Xonar audio cards? The HDAV1.3 and HDAV1.3 Deluxe? But these...
It's so damn hard to decide which X58-board to purchase!!
The Rampage II Extreme doesn't seem to be that impressive overall, and at least here in Norway it got an insane price tag! The P6T6 Revolution and Rampage II Extreme are in their own league when it comes to pricing, Rampage II Extreme...
The motherboards itself doesn't really have much to do with gaming performance, it's the overall quality, BIOS choices, overclocking etc.. that makes the difference between motherboards.
And of course the chipset got some differences, like different southbridges, different RAID / SATA...
That tweaktown article has been proved to be rubbish!
There was something wrong with their Gigabyte BIOS or something which screwed things up, I don't remember what it was, if it was the PCI-Express slots being PCI-Express1.1 only or something else, but that test is just rubbish.
All other...
Well, I have a really hard time figuring out which Nehalem motherboard to go for..
Money is no issue, it's just that I want the most rock solid and stable board, with the most stable and reliable BIOS etc..
I've had so many issues with my system the past two years, so this time I want...
So how will the Rampage II Extreme be compared to Asus P6T6 WS Revolution?
The Asus P5E64 WS Evolution was more solid and stable than the Asus Rampage Formula / Extreme..
What's the differences between the two?
Which one do you think will be the most solid and stable one?
Looking forward...
I'll be going for the Core i7 920 then, hoping for a stable 3.5 3.8GHz overclock!
If it's true that the 920 clocks better than the 940, then the 940 is simply a waste of money.
Ehm, have you guys completely missed the point here?
First of all, this does not affect Multi-GPU solutions like Crossfire, CrossfireX, SLi and Tri-SLi!
Second, none of today's Microsoft operative system's got support for native hybrid graphic solutions!
This just means that AMD / ATI and...
The looks / visuals of the board isn't my first priority at all!
- First of all I want the most stable and throughout solid board! Stable BIOS! No more ASUS Memory compatibility issues!
- Second in line is the gaming and overclocking performance (the board need to have the nF200 chip /...
Hi,
I'm looking for a second LCD-monitor which will mostly be used for web-browsing and movies.
I've got a HP LP2475W as the main / gaming monitor, but now I've decided to toss my Sony GDM-F520 out the door and replace it with a second LCD-monitor.
So which monitor would you say is the...
I'm going to get my Nehalem setup very soon, so then I have to decide on which CPU to get?
Then this question pops in my head, 920 or 940?
The 920 isn't that expensive and provides good performance for it's money, the 940 on the other hand is almost twice the price? And is it really worth...
I'm going to replace my dull Hiper Type-R 730W PSU and was thinking of the PC & Power Cooling 750W?
After reading the review on AnandTech I get the impression that when it comes to 700 - 900W PSU this is the best PSU available to date?
So I've finally come to the conclusion that I will sell my P5Q-Deluxe @ Q6600 setup and get myself a Nehalem rig!
Then I have to decide which motherboard I'm going to get!
The past two-three years it's been ASUS only for me, but after some rather dull experience with motherboards like...
May I ask why ASUS always stick with these cheap and crappy Marvell controllers?
Even on a "workstation" board we see these rather bad Marvell Yukon network controllers?
I don't really care about the SATA / RAID controller as the ICH10R is decent and got enough SATA plugs for me, but also...
Yesterday my HP LP2475W simply died on me?
It was working flawlessly until it just got black?
I was not able to turn it on again, I tried with another power cable still no sign of life?
Anyone else experienced such a problem with this monitor?
I've got my own HP LP2475W now!
And my first impression is really good! Seems really good and solid!
The brightness of the default settings was high enough to kill anyone though, what settings are you guys running on? I've got no hardware calibrator, and as I'm colour-blind calibrating is...
That thing with Crossfire on P45 was a bug with the gigabyte board, nothing more, nothing less.. You wont loose any performance by running 2x HD4870 on a P45 compared with a X48!
