Well my current case handles a ATX and don't know if it has the hole pattern for a mATX or not. And if I'm not going with newer tech then I wanted to do the job as inexpensive as possible.
I didn't know where to post this. Please move if this is not the right place.
I have a mother board that has been acting up for a couple of months. My current set up meets my needs because I only browse the internet and and write emails. My current computer has a quad core Q6700 processor...
I'm wanting to get a new barebones home PC for email/web browsing/MS office/NO GAMING. Coming from a quad core with 8 GB ram. I want to see a performance bump but keep it as cheap as possible. What are your predictions at a $200-250 price point and a $300-350 point? No...
I have a five year old system that I built. Recently I had to do a new IOS install. (win7 64 bit) After getting everything installed programs etc., I had an issue where the computer froze on the BIOS splash screen. The only way to get past this is to unplug the power supply and remove the...

I have a HD204UI that was firmware updated and worked for about 7-8 months now as a backup drive. Well this week when the WIN 7 tried to do a weekly backup it failed and the OS no longer listed the drive. If I restart computer the drive is listed. I ran CHKDISK and everything is fine I...
Thanks for comments I'm at 41% at the 2 hour mark. Is there any simple (newbie) test that I should run on this drive before putting it into use?
Samsung has a program called ES-Tool that I have read about?
Oh crap mattsaccount I thought I had read here or on another forum that I should NOT choose the quick format. That it would protect or something against errors.
And after formatting I still have to flash the firmware.
Does it make a difference if I quick formatted or not?
OK what do I what to choose here. This is what WIN 7 came up as default. Again I have WIN 7 64 as OS and my first 2TB HDD just want to get the most it. And check volume before I start using as a primary or secondary backup and data storage.
DO I NEED TO ENABLE FILE AND FOLDER COMPRESSION...
