Do you mean when you turn off your HDTV, your monitor becomes itself and just ONE display? Mine cant do it automatic like this.
Do you mean turn off the HDTV or physically disconnect the cable?
I went to Nvidia forum to voice this just now.
Now Nvidia doesnt remember my HDTV to the left of my monitor. It always put to the right.
All in all, Nvidia suck! :-)
This leads me to believe that Nvidia is inferior products VS to AMD. I dont have this problem with AMD.
I find out Nvidia doesnt have Hot Keys either and AMD do.
If AMD ever makes a video card with two HDMI I would go back to AMD.
Each time I do extend monitor on my Nvidia control panel, it cannot remember the location of my HDTV which is to the left my monitor.
Do you have this problem?
WOW. I didnt know DVI can deliver audio.
OK, my > 2 yr old 7.1 Onkyo receiver is all HDMI input.
My 1 yr old HDTV is all HDMI input.
Do you mean get a DVI to HDMI converter?
Also ...
I gave up on two video card because I want two HDMI and now I just use one card that has two HDMI and it only made by Zotac 650 Ti.
The reason is because I got weird problems with my Sound Properties:
http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1759745
Now everything is working...
Input adapter? DVI does not do audio.
I need two HDMI with audio. One goes to my HDTV and one goes to my 7.1 receiver which goes to my projector.
Zotac is the only one that makes two HDMI port video card and its Nvidia.
The hotkeys on CCC did work for me. Did you do the setting inside CCC? Not extend/unextend the monitor in WINDOWS and save it on CCC right?
Also, the hotkey will only work on AMD video card. If you got Intel 4000 on it, it will not even see that integrated card.
I do miss the hotkey...
I have HD 7850 and HD 5450 video card in there and it is not happy.
Then I put in a HD 5750 and a HD 5450 and it works fine.
In the end I toss it all and I just get a Nvidia 650 TI that has two HDMI and it works fine now.
But Nvidia cannot do hotkeys.
Bummer!
I have not use Nvidia for a long time and I am back now and I find out it does not have the HotKeys like AMD Catalyst has.
Is there any help on this?
I want it to remember the audio setting also.
What a let down.
For the last 2 days now ...
If I *DONT* go to the Control Panel - Power - and tell its to turn *OFF* the monitor after x amount of minutes, my Sound Properties will always work.
Does this tell you anything?
My Sound Properties is taking over 5 - 10 minutes for it to open. I can't open "Adjust system volume", "Change system sounds", "Manage audio devices". I go to the log and it show nothing. I just don't know what is having a grip or holding it.
When I boot up my computer and I only try as far...
Hello Guys. I need you all help.
I got this brand new mobo last week and finally I am playing with it very lightly.
I have try on two SSD and I could not boot up to Window completely. It would hang on start up and just sit there at the Window screen.
However, if I go into the BIOS to...
Hello Guys. I need you all help.
I got this brand new mobo last week and finally I am playing with it very lightly.
I have try on two SSD and I could not boot up to Window completely. It seems like if it hang, the next time it would boot all the way to the desktop. Then the next time I...
BINGO!
This is correct now. Each time I click on it a few minutes later, it write to the destination file with a new time.
In my Schedular, in the General tab, I have it "Run whether user is logged in or not" in all my Schedular.
It is working greeeat now.
Thanks to everyone!
Hello people.
I think the above code is wrong.
Isnt it suppose to be this: dir K:\wakeup.bat > K:\wakeup2.bat
Otherwise if you overwrite it the original above will not work anymore.
Right or wrong?
af22,
I have the Silicondust Homerun tuner.
It has a dual tuner but I dont know if there is a option to pick which tuner to record.
If you have two shows that come at the same time and another show after that, I dont think you can do this.
Can I tell you all a funny story about the WMC ?
I have record from WMC on the SSD. It record on time and right on the few seconds too. So this has nothing to do with my clock on my computer as it is correct.
Then is when it get hairy.
Because my SSD is small, I have to do a "extend"...
I think I know what is going on now.
Basically just do a directory listing of K: drive and pipe it or write the output it to the same file.
Right? From my half arse Unix days.
This is what I put inside the wakeup.bat file:
==================
dir K:\wakeup.bat > K:\wakeup.bat
k:
dir
==================
And I have put it inside the W7 Schedular which I know how to do it.
Is this it ?
I went to the log to see if there is anything and there is not.
I use my SSD to record a show using WMC and it start on time! When I move to hd, I loose about 1 minute of the show. Maybe I am killing it too big with with 5 minute spin up.
Still loosing some foreskin vs a big cut off your finger is a big difference. 1 min vs 5 min is big difference...
Create a file out of the directory listing on the destination drive. I have put "wake.bat" in the root of K: drive. That is the only file there.
I am lost. Thanks for explaining.
I am lost here on what you did above. What does it do? I just did it in the dos prompt. Where do I go and verify?
Do I need to name my file with a .bat extension?
So my wake.bat should look like this:
=========
k:,
dir
=========
I am waking up k drive. What is the "," after the ":" for?
Scheduling it now. Thanks!
There is a debate going on with spin up and down vs spinning your hd all day.
I really do not who is right.
==============
Some people said running your AC is better than turn key it on demand when you need it. I find that running AC when I want it is better than running it set at 79...
Yes I do know the Schedular and I have done it to shut down my computer.
I have a usefulness for this.
Bc my hd spin up from sleep, I always miss the first 4 minutes of a recording on my WMC!
I dont want to do a 4 min early recording.
Let me see tonight if it work. Thanks!
Hey, I got a 3008wfp IPS monitor and I cant even tell the difference to my 2408wfp PVA. In fact, I think the 2408 looks better than my 3008.
I got fo rthe 2408 cause got 2 DVI and 1 displayport. I got em for $171 shipped last month. I might get 2 more and get rid of my 3008.
Here is my scenario:
I have Vmware running.
I have my projector extended to my monitor.
I click and play a 1080p movie. (Playing a 720p movie is fine though!)
My computer would just freeze and crash.
Down on the bottom right I can see the ATI CCC has recovered.
What I have...
