Bought an Asus P8P67 Pro, Intel 2600k CPU, all working great (though the idle of 40-45c on the stock cooler has me concerned), except ONE driver is missing... What is the Simple Communications Controller? I tried looking it up and it seems related to network drivers, modem, or something...

I chose the Asus P8P67 Pro... just seemed to have enough for SLI/Crossfire and everything else under the sun. Gigabyte UD4 was a close second, but didn't have as many options. Anything more was overkill... could even do without the Pro, but I heard SLI/Crossfire support was better in the Pro.

There are no ways to increase contrast on any monitors, that is impossible. The only thing these filters do is help direct the light better to reduce the white haze you see at angles, it does not increase contrast in any way. Glossy coatings, which you cannot apply yourself, enhance the image...

Advice for all, don't trust the manual! I know, it sounds stupid but its sadly good advice. Doublesight essentially copied most of the information from Planar's manual, and some of those features were copied over in the manual but not included in the DoubleSight version of the panel.

Surprisingly, without bias since I don't have the monitor myself yet, there aren't many. It really is a great monitor according to almost everyone! The largest problems are: 1) White haze inherent in non-polarized IPS panels (not a huge deal unless you're off angle and in a dark room)...
