I noticed this is being offered to all eVGA cards on newegg (except certain 670's and 680's, seeing a 2 game offer instead).

My friends are buying Galaxy cards lately and I understand why =)

I like Galaxy because they put quality coolers on the video cards and run rather quiet (from what I read in reviews).

Still an awesome set of cards even with the GTX 680 out. Team Red has not failed me yet!

I didn't buy anything yet, still deciding on the 6GB Vengeance and save money towards the new system upgrade, or buy a 16GB kit (4x4GB) to replace my RAM and transition it to the Ivy Bridge build.

I don't have the same CPU as you but I did just a mini-upgrade from my 4.5 year old system to my current system in signature. I was running a Q6600 at stock, 4GB RAM, and my 5850. For Battlefield 3 iirc, I did mostly medium settings, shadows at low, motion blur/AO/AA/something else at off...

I live 20 minutes away + a bridge, ITS ON! I've been to all but one nVidia Geforce LAN and they are awesome to go to. With the second one iirc, they did give every attendee a retail box copy of Battlefield 2; with Geforce 4 they gave out Crysis. I wonder if they will give out Battlefield 3 :D

I'll buy a boxed copy if I must, but I think EA is making a major mistake not putting this on Steam. Sure they want to pimp out Origin...but at what cost? I still think EA will put the game on there very late, if their recent game Alice is worth an indicator.
