Also, CPUs are easy to find at MSRP (or even below). If the problem was simply manufacturing or logistics, then we wouldn't be able to get CPUs either, but there is no supply issue with processors.
Honestly, PC gaming is basically going to be dead unless something changes. But the consoles are still even hard to get too, so maybe everything is screwed.
So this is a real time 3D graphics demo I put together in one week. Uses real time global illumination in Godot Engine.
Should work with cards as old as a GTX 1060 6GB, but if you want the graphics in the image above you'll probably need an RTX 2080 Ti or better. You can download for free on...
Okay, so I tried it out tonight. Good news, it works amazing.
Bad news is I tried a bunch of games and the only one that worked was Far Cry 5. Even games that were supposed to work had glitches or the button wasn't there.
So my hope of all games suddenly having ray tracing, well this...
Yeah, I mean it's Valve, they are probably the nicest game company, but still. You don't want to be breaking NDAs.
Usually you won't get sued, though, they will just cut you off and give you no more support.
But you're seeing a clearer picture with more detail. If anything, it should increase your kills cause now you can see enemies further away or catch small details. It doesn't make sense.
No you still want traditional AA since newer techniques can add detail that is not in a single frame (temporal anti-aliasing). But using them both will look a lot better.
I haven't played with ReShade by I saw the pictures it looks great. This is the kind of thing we need, more easy support so more games can get ray tracing.
Well this is a software driver feature, I don't see why they would limit it to anything after the 2000 series, as they all technically support the hardware (and even 1000 series cards could emulate it, but probably slowly).
It was this monitor, the Nixeus EDG27240.
https://www.nixeus.com/nxedg27240
The panel was TN and I did not see any smearing, it was clear as day, so I don't think response time was the issue.
But seeing as there is almost no information on the monitor online, who knows?
My plug-in simply changes the order of images in the slideshow, or when you press the arrow keys. It doesn't display any information.
That bar is called the "side pane" and you can show/hide it with the 3 dot icon and choose "show" and then unselect "side pane". You can also click the "x" icon...
Basically, yes. I've seen videos that were 10 minutes long to explain where to find a button in the Windows UI, something they said for 15 seconds at the end of the video.
There are videos that are 30 minutes long that teach you nothing, while also not having quality photography or cinematics...
PC gamers in particular are too fixated on the FPS number. It's not important at all. I want to know if I spend $600 (or more like $1200 today) if I am going to have a good time and feel like the money was well spent. And this is not dependent on the FPS.
Like a few years back, before people...
So, imagine (this is not totally uncommon) you have a 45 minute video conference with 15 people, but it's primarily 1 person talking the whole time.
If me (or the other 13 people) are not giving feedback, then our presence is useless. We are not adding anything by being there. But you wasted 45...
Correct. There are decades of research proving agile works, increases productivity and reduces cost and risk. And there are also studies showing that useless collaboration (not scrum, that actually works) is reducing productivity, and thus increasing cost and time to completion.
But these...
I mean, the whole thing is a waste of time. There have been numerous studies, especially regarding remote work and pandemic, and the majority of office time is wasted on pointless meetings, fooling around with coworkers, or wasting time on the internet.
This article, for example, claims only...
Yeah, I spent a lot of time freelancing from home for most of my career, and it was so much better. I would get a contract, with a deadline, and I got to choose how I spent my time as long as I delivered on the deadline I got paid.
So I could work a few hours here and there every day, take a...
Again, this is 100% on Google for 1) Stealing the technology to begin with 2) Being cheap and instead of paying up when called out, screw their customers and cheat Sonos.
